Not to mention the fact that i don´t think he´s good enough for United. He has been at Benfica for years now and no club has tried to buy him. Di Maria, Witsel, Matic, David Luiz all end up moving and Gaitán is still there. Anyways, any transfer rumour that comes from A Bola isn´t usually taken seriously. According to them we already signed Guidetti :lol:

Well what a waste of time that would have been anyway, because apparently any source, is "crap" to use your word, if it doesn't sit right with you.

You still miss he point of the thread, it being, are the rumours rubbish - the source matters not a jot. It was in the title which, in your haste to have a cheap pop, was completely overlooked.
 
The tweets in transfer tweets thread seemed quite strong. I know we were linked with him loads of times before but were they as convinced as today?

At the minute, the thread title suggests is he a rumour or is he rubbish. Not is the rumour rubbish.
 
:lol: Feck's sake, this again? I feel like they just go into last year's archive and copy the same story, the same tweets, all of it. Summer after summer. The most ridiculous thing is that, although everybody stopped paying any attention to Gaitan years ago, the price hasn't really changed since 2010.

As this thread replaced the bumped NG transfer thread which was locked, it doesn't take a genius to work out that it a transfer discussion - that & the fact that you are in the 'Transfer Forum'. :lol:

I hope it is rubbish, don't understand the meaning of this signing.

30 million for another winger, while other roles are empty, with McNair forced to play 25 games/season...

It's really incredible and appaling the way this club is managed.

The guy that came up with this has done so numerous times in the past. He's been wrong every time.
 
If he adds balance of whatever it is that Van Gaal is looking for then i'm for it. Must be a reason we've scouted him so much.
 
Just use common sense. Why would we spend 27m or whatever it is on the one position we are most well stocked in?
 
The story came from 'A Bola' in portugal who are the Portuguese version of Metro. Gaitan is probably the best player in portugal but not Utd quality I wouldn't think

To be fair, I was a little annoyed at the lack of information in the op.. I had read the tweets and opened the thread so I got what you were going for.. But just because its the transfer thread doesnt mean its a given that everyone opening the thread should know what the portuguese paper is repoeting re: Gaitan

Then they have to wade through all the comments to understand what the hell is going on. Posting the link to the article or even the tweets in the op would have made it easier for everyone which is what @Rado_N was going for imo
