Who is the fecking troll of a journalist who keeps bringing this rumor back? It has been going on for at least 4 years now, you should have people would stop buying into this shit by now.
Surely, he must be the one player mentioned in the most transfer rumours articles related to Manchester United.

Seems like his agent is trained in the arts of brainwashing and believes if he keeps saying in the prss that he'll sign for Utd every day then it will trick Utd into going for him...The rumours are a joke at this stage......I've heard good things about Gaitan and he's scored his fair share of Golazos but for some reason nobody is interested. There's been plenty of donkeys from the Portuguese league who Gaitan is probably better than who managed to secure moves to big clubs.....Anderson, Bebe, Abel Xavier, Hugo Viana

It's surprising that after so many years of being linked with us he is still at Benfica. You'd think that he would already be moved on like Garay.
This guy has been linked to us for so long now. The rumours started while Fergie was still in charge! Surely by now the media have worked out that we aren't interested? But no no he's going to turn down some lucrative offer to play in the Middle East in the hope we still come in for him.
New rumours today is that he is close to Juventus with Doyen help. Benfica negotiating Iturbe loan with Roma so he might be close to finally leaving Benfica.
Wow... I was starting to think this guy was never going to get his move away from Benfica! Think Juventus would be a good place for him to go actually. They are the dominant side in Italy and obviously did extremely well in Europe last year.
I'm starting to doubt this guy even exists. Then again I had the same with Douglas Costa and suddenly he's killing it at Bayern.
