Can't wait to get him in a red shirt. Really looking forward to seeing this fella progress.

He is really a great prospect. Think he will play a big part for the club, more than any of our other English players (except Rooney).

Agreed. I really think he will make it here.
It was a shame that last year didn't go too well (couple of injuries was it?) otherwise he'd be well ahead of schedule.

I think he certainly could do with a spell in the PL and I'm not sure he'll get that with us so it'll be interesting to see what they do with him next season. Have to say the Wigan loan has been perfect in the sense that he's also tasted more opportunities in Europe too. If he was as technically talented as Adnan I'd personally love it if we could give him opportunities next season but he isn't that kind of player and I think he'll benefit more from experience rather than being plodded into the mix at United (unless the summer window is an absolute shocker again and we're forced to look at what we have from within which may well work out for someone like Powell).

I have a few mates who support Crewe and they raved about him when he played there , He does strike a ball very cleanly for a young player .

may not be as technically talented as adnan but think his overall technique is pretty good. i agree he'll benefit more from experience too. plus with the volatility around United these days, probably be he gets experience elsewhere for the time being

Lets hope the prospect actually goes on to fulfill something at the club man. We need everything we can get!

Jepp, we need everything we can get atm. He has the potential, but of course he has to fulfill that potential to make it. Hope it goes well and he is in our first team sooner rather than later.

Still have no idea why someone of his talent is out on loan when we are struggling so badly.

He is the lucky one, he has dodged the Moyes deskilling programme.

Wigan on a great run at the moment and looking at the playoffs, along with the FA Cup semi final those are some great games for Nick to play in. Lets not forget the European experience he got at Wigan this season. It has been a good loan for him so far.

Credit to Dave Whelan, he had a look at the dour Scotsman that he put in charge playing antiquated football and not getting the results; gave him the bullet and got a new manager. Now they are reaping the rewards. Maybe he could have a word with his mate down the road.

Yeah, you've cracked that joke before...

@Pogue

It is more of a sneer than a joke. Besides the first time I mentioned the parallels they were less pertinent considering the opposite trajectories of the clubs since then.

I admit, I have become embittered since the Liverpool game. It is not really the result but the way that Moyes has conducted himself since. I never felt any animosity towards Moyes before now, I just felt that that he wasn't up to the job. He just seems to me that he doesn't really see himself at fault for any of this and that once he gets rid of all the nasty players that don't like him, spends 200m on players that do like him we can all be happy with a run for 4th next season.

Meh. It was a bit of an uncalled for comment from me. I'm just grumpy as hell about football at the moment. So I'm completely incapable at being anything other than irritated by the gallows humour that others seem to be using to get through the season.

The irritation is my own problem, obviously. I think I could treat the situation with a bit more levity if it was "only" United having a bad season. The other stuff makes it all a bit much to take: Losing the best young player to come through our ranks in decades (a fecking CM an' all) while our other most highly rated youngsters might all be a busted flush. Watching Moyes' old club stay ahead of us in the table. City breaking goal-scoring records. Hazard and Ramsey constantly making us rue the day they snubbed us. Mourinho picking up where he left off at Chelsea. Arsenal finally awash with cash and the dippers... sweet jesus the dippers...

So yeah, jokes. I'm not digging them at the moment. It's not you, though, it's me...

Lucky boy Nick he didn't suffer in the madness of Moyes. We need to bring him back to the first team this summer. He's got class written all over him. The new manager will see to it that he's properly cultivated.

The end of that Wigan game sounds totally mental... I'm putting the midnight Sky Sports News update on record just so I can watch the highlights!

@GifLord work your magic.

I can't wait to see this lad be a part of the pre-season and then the first team squad for next season. Strong, can shoot with both feet and has a tremendous shot.

If he can come through, Januzaj continues his progress, Zaha can get a little wiser & Lingard can contribute then we wouldn't need to spend 100's of millions of dollars on new players. Them being part of first team squads and trainings, familiarity with English football and home grown status will make the transition much more easier.

Only if Moyes is sacked, and what does lingard have to do with all this? DDG is fine as he is, and spending a fortune on another keeper is the least of our priority (unless Anders leave, but even then you can get 1 for 1 from whatever he's sold for)

Lingard is versatile, but he's not that versatile, mate. Lacks a bit of height.

Lol Anders is not Lingard!

Always good to see a loaned player get a proper run in a team.And the elven goals he as scored will benefit him and us.But what a crazy game yesterday ,five goals in eight minutes.
