He knows the drill
The guy is a sensational finisher from distance. His passing is way off though, anyone else think that he will end up as an attacker?
Who's that German number 9?
Samed Yesil
Transferred to Liverpool this summer for a million quid...

Why?
he still has a lot to learn and he have the right people around him to learn from in carrick and scholes . There is one area though he don t need any lectures in....and that's shooting from distance. He was so confident striking that ball, that he made it look too easy.
This! It would have have been easy for him to be rash with that chance but he took it with remarkable composure. You cant buy that kind of composure and that bodes really well. He'll sort out his passing game in time.Lads, I know we normally have to pour cold water on expectations, but some of you need to get a bit more excited about this lad. He was only on the field a few minutes and we were already 3-0 up. He didn't have time to get the radar turned on, but the run and finish for that goal was something to be really optimistic over. Delighted for him!

Very well taken goal, good first touch to get away. His shooting is already top notch

Powell continues to earn plaudits from Sir Alex after taking his impressive training-ground work onto the big stage.
"Nick Powell is going to be a really good player who, we hope, will fill Paul Scholes' boots in terms of he's got terrific vision, good temperament, two great feet, is quick and is a great striker of the ball. For a boy of 18, he's not 19 until next March, it's been a terrific day for him."

Regardless, Powell to me, looks to have magic in them there boots and yes Pogue I have only seen one game and numerous you tube videos.
The last player that I got a similar instinctive feeling about, that I thought that he was going to be brilliant after watching just one game, was Stevan Jovetic against Liverpool.
Very high praise from Fergie
A bit surprised , Fergie seems to think he can fill Scholesy's boots so early!
New Lampard or new Gibson?
New Carrick.
