NHL season 2005-2006

It's "still" 3-3 on the Swedish channel i'm watching...

Edit 4-3 now...

it's 6-3...
a pp goal and a 2-men adv. goal.
the Sharks got into (real stupid) penalty trouble.

more wins to go!!

This is so awful, I'm not allowed to listen to the games unless it's playing when I get up. The nerves I'm suffering when I switch on the pc is bloody awful. The sooner this series is over the better. Then I can listen or even watch the next round, if we get there.

well.. pray that they will end the series this coming Wendesday then....

and after reading the report on Yahoo.com 'Sharks fans boo ``O Canada''' ok..i can't stand the Yanks. GO OILERS!!!

The fine sporting SJ fans show the true colours last night!! I know that "booing" an anthem is something the English have become good at, but really it's a sad state of affairs when it's done.

I dare say now that the biggest sporting event on Wednesday night is going to be in Edmonton, and not Paris now.

We should also thank Mr Ron Wilson for yet again failing to accept that his team were beaten by anyone other than themselves.

As for the Oilers, no matter what transpires from here, we've seen that we can convert PP's, we can kill PP's against us, and most of all we can win important games. Even if we don't go any further than this, we've got to use this run as the foundations of the future. We've proven to ourselves that we are better than a 8tn seeded team who struggles to make the play-offs.

right on, just got home and seen the oilers score, cant believe it 2 games in a row we hit em for six, it's all starting to come to-gether at the right time for the oilmen, who cares about the 8th seed shit.:D :D :D :D

here's the ironic thing -
San Jose's top three playoff scorers are all Canadian, Marleau and Thornton included. Seven other Sharks hail from America's neighbors to the north.

So when fans in the Shark Tank inexplicably erupted into a chorus of boos when the Canadian national anthem was performed Sunday – a classless display that continued through to the end of the rendition – they were essentially booing the home team.
make up your mind...

Edmonton Mayor Stephen Mandel said he agreed with Gonzales that there was never an excuse for fans to boo a national anthem. Game 6 of the series is Wednesday night in Edmonton.

"I'm sure Edmonton's fans will show their true colors on Wednesday and we'll celebrate in a manner in which all of Edmonton, and all of Canada can be proud," Mandel said.
YESSS please i can't wait to show them what 'class' is!!!

Canada will probably beat us yes. The Russians aren't that great,Finland could beat them.

I dont think we´ll beat them.

It was a really big blow getting Niittymäki injured...

Norrena is a very good keeper but hes not Niittymäki class yet.

We have to get our PP going again, it was feckin terrible vs Canada. We let the same cnut score twice when we were one player more on the ice. :wenger:

Nittymäki isn't that great, Norrena will have no problem replacing him. We have fecking "Lill-Honken" in goal you shouldn't complain about goalie problems:lol:

Niittymäki has been den stabilaste keepern in our nationalteem for agen.

He played a fantastic Olympic tournament and was great as long as he played now...

But as I said Norrena isnt shit either, I just hope he´ll keep his head cold... He hasnt played such big matches before...

Ok he has been solid for Finland but he's been awful wth Flyers. Flyers being shit might have something to do with that though...

This Canada team would have won The Olympics in Turin.

Roli a shut out! Wow I never thought I'd be saying that one EVER!.

Bring on the Ducks on Friday

I hate the Ducks now so I hope Oilers beat them. It's great that Roloson finally gets some credit, very underrated goaltender.

Conference finals start tonight, and here lies the quandry for me. No, I'm not going to say I've a part of me that likes the Ducks.... Far from it, it's more to do with hockey superstions and such.

I've been an Oiler fan since 90 when I saw them win the cup, but of course I live in the UK, and apart from odd trips to see relatives in Canada, which have been in the summer it's been hard to get any hockey on tv till recently.

Even when I did get to Canada and hockey season was on, the Oilers lost every time I watched them, and the trend has continued. I've never seen the Oilers win a game live on tv. Here lies the problem, do I submit and pay my mum the money for NASN and watch the remainder of the play-off live (or as live) or do I maintain my ritual of listening to CHED 630? Dare I so late in a run like this try to break a curse that has lasted nearly 16 years? What makes it worse is that I'd have to pay my mum for this as I don't have tv, if I did I'd probably have NASN anyway and the curse would be broke, but as it is it isn't.

Being play-off time I'm really not in the mood to change anything really, cept I'm desperate to even have the chance of seeing some of the games live.
