They should be pleased that we only won by 5 goals.

Canada are like United though, they stop playing when they have no chance of winning the top prize.

Yes I know, but still you´ve got to expect more from them.

Olli Jokinen MOM. :wenger:

Should have been Norrena IMO.

Aye, Canada was a poor team. Too bad we had our off day against the czechs, but getting fairly used to this by now :) atleast we didn't have our off day in the final this time, that was quite frustrating. On the whole I would have to say that the future looks quite good for us. We were probably the strongest team in the tournament yet again, and now we fielded none of our biggest stars (bar Jokinen obviously). In the olympics we pissed all over the opposition.

Yeah, winning this tournament is quite impressive of sweden, must be said. They haven't really got any big stars here and are playing quite well (ok very lucky as well). One should obviously not forget how they won the olympics though..by throwing games on purpose to get easy opposition. In addition to that they obviously took Canadas best player out yesterday just by mistake, not planned at all :)

bitter ? not at all. Just stating facts, or are you saying this did not happen?

We lost a game in the Olympics what's the big deal? We had already progressed.

I don't understand what's wrong with losing a game in the group stages. United sent a youth team to play against Fenerbahce last season and lost with 3-0 was that "cheating" too?

This day gets better:lol:

Sweden, the only team to win the Olympics and the World Championships in the same year, not even Soviet the best hockey team ever managed to do that:D

And since when is losing a group stage match cheating?

Another stunning performance by the Copper and Blue. More so due to a flu bug that's swept through the team. It was obvious listening to the game that they weren't 100%, but from some where they have found a resiliant streak within themselves and dug out a win.

Roloson now has more points in this series than any Duck has, which is quite a stat considering he's a netminder.

Got to keep focused now and get everyone back home and get them better. Make sure that the flu bug doesn't grab anyone else. So far so good, two B games from the Oilers, but we can't keep that going we need an A game or two to kill the series.

I just noticed

The ducks might need a miracle as they lost 12 straight in Edmonton.

The Ducks are dead, thank God. The parochial California sports reporters on some of the local radio stations only report how Cal teams did, and don't even mention the other teams (e.g.: in basketball the Clippers lost, in hockey the Ducks won, in baseball the Giants and Angels won while the Dodgers, A's, and Padres lost). With the Ducks out, we won't have to hear the unknowing telling the uncaring about Lord Stanely's Cup--it will be as if ice hockey ceased to exist for those bozos.

An Oilers and Sabres final--great hockey, no viewers.

i saw a couple of Sabres fans went across the border to watch the Ottawa/Buffalo series in Niagara, maybe I should go there again.
