One of the many reasons why I love hockey. :D Many times I wish I could watch Keane just pummel some opponent and it be legal.

last night i was watching a chinese programme called 'magazine 26' and they talked 'bout why Hockey's becomin' more violence than before..and i just can't stop laughing... :lol: they talked 'bout how to stop violence spreading to the kids... that's ....no way in my opinion....

yeh..hockey is the main reason why people watch hockey.... :smirk:

Wanna stop violence from infiltrating young people's minds, start regulating tv programs, movie channels on cable, VIDEO GAMES, etc, before singling out hockey. :mad:
 
violence's definition - acting with rough strong force; caused by unexpected force or injury.
IMO, some forecheckings are severe also, but they called those legal checkings...then how can you prevent? ban checkings? Can you? no way, body contact is involved most of the time in a game. ok, you give kids lessons, but will they listen? The one thing I can think of is, ban all the kids from watching NHL... :smirk:

Absolutely.

Neither team was expected to make it this far, yet both have simply outworked any team they have come up against. I would say Calgary's path to the final has been the more impressive of the two, but Tampa has been playing some lovely hockey as well.

Congrats to both, thats for sure. It should also teach some of the other hockey clubs out there a lesson. 3 out of the 4 teams in the semi's had relatively low payrolls, with the players largely being groomed in their system. If all of the teams were like that, I doubt the NHL would be in the financial jam that it is currently.

luckily they pulled one back in the 3rd period to deny a shut-out for the lightning
