NFL Thread

I don't think NFL games are watchable with Brady anymore. The amount of unwarranted praise he gets, it's like watching a United-Liverpool game on LFC TV.
Oh I see the complete opposite in that he's not getting the recognition he should be for achieving what he is at this age with the team ahead of him. It's like souness not recognising pogba etc.

From what I've watched there is such a push for the chiefs, saints (yet brees is just as old but gets such more more love as he's more dynamic and likeable), rams, vikings to smash the pats and as a pats fan it does wind me up. Before you ask I lived near Boston for 4 years in the states back in 92-96 when Bledsoe was our QB and stuck with them when we moved back to the UK but I'm not a die hard fan and do just love the game and seeing what the rams and chiefs have done I do watch with a smile)

Absolutely love sky sports coverage but there is something special free to air BBC coverage. Glad that SB is on BBC

What is Super Bowl?

Is it exciting?

The commercials and half time show are occasionally.

Or any involving the Pats, as they seemingly cannot win or lose by more than one possession.

What the feck is the Pats?

And possession? After LvG I think I'll pass...

Can you remember a SB with as little excitement as this one? The matchup is just so boring.

The teams involved are incredibly dull and it's basically impossible to root for anyone involved. Guess I hope both lose and Donald gets 10 sacks. He’s the only one I care for.

It's highly unlikely it will be dull, especially when you consider the offenses involved.

I don’t remember the last time when the Pats offense was exciting. They are efficient, ruthless and effective, but in no way exciting. The Rams won’t do much tonight, I guess. Won’t be able to play three receiver sets all game against the imperator and I don’t trust their run outside of other formations.

But that’s just me. Hope I’ll get surprised.

Oh come on. Let's cancel Christmas and Easter too.

Look, as a pats fan I'm not loving the football we are playing and am in awe of the chiefs and the rams and how they've bought got these young teams that I want to watch. But the pats have that history and the overlord in big bill, against McV this won't be boring and just enjoy it for want it is bud

A lot of the intrigue is the broader narrative of the great Belichick vs the new kid on the block, which I can see how it might not translate into excitement.

Especially since whichever team establishes the run will win. If either Sony or CJ has a strong game then it’s basically over.

Don’t think it’ll come down to the backs. Especially with the Rams, I suspect it will be more about personell than anything else. They do almost everything out of three receiver sets and I suspect the Pats will know how to play that. So it’ll depend on how well they’ll be able to change their approach to possible two TE sets and so on.
I don’t like how the Rams match up against the pats offense either. Peters and Shields can’t play any press, so Brady should have a field day with his short passes. Only hope for the Rams is, if they manage to get Donald in one on one matchups. Which I doubt as well, because the Pats are one of few teams that still utilize a fullback. So I suspect they’ll put the FB on Donald and that little bit of extra time will do it for them.

Squad goals.

Sad to see so many SB tickets go to people who probably can't even tell you the first thing about the rules, rather than your average fan.

Harry Kane is there as well, wanker (although granted he's a huge fan).

Pats fan for the evening, sickening. Go Pat

BBC coverage though, much better

Pats win by more than one score for the first time by the way, since I know you're all terribly interested in my predictions ...

Not sure whether to watch a CBS stream or BBC One.

its always like that. its an event for rich people
Yeah of course, and as already mentioned, it's the same for the WC final, CL final, you name it.

I don't really have a viable solution either since demand would far outreach supply if tickets were cheap or available to anyone. It's just a bit sad to see, is all.

I have BBC and Eleven Sports on the telly but I'm gonna look for a high quality CBS stream just for Romo.
