NFL Thread 2019

Well considering it’s known, you seem quick to write off these recent allegations.
Cause they'd have to be absolute idiots to try cheating in the open with what they're filming clearly visible and to gain an advantage against...the Bengals.

Michael Thomas has 133 catches with just 1 drop on about 150 targets for the season. Incredible play designs by Payton & the OC and just unreal level from Brees & Thomas

Yeah Thomas is just incredible, can't be stopped at the moment and will obliterate the Harrison's REC record if he plays through Week 17 (which I'm assuming he will). Brees also casually setting the record for completion percentage in the same game which he passed Manning in, just incredible.

Saints still on the outside looking in for a bye though given their inferior conference record. I think I'd like it better if they have to go to Lambeau or something like that - at the Dome they'd win pretty straightforward against the Packers but at Lambeau could be an intriguing matchup.

I wanna see Chiefs @ Ravens and Saints @ Niners in the Conference Finals if the Texans don't make it there.

I noticed that there was a lot of Vikings fans in the audience but the estimated 80%-90% is quite ridiculous for an away game. I don't see the L.A Chargers surviving that type of things, which city is going to host them in the near future?

I’m fine with that arrangement if we just want to jump ahead now

The fact that Duck Hodges gets to keep the job after looking horrendous throwing 4 picks makes me think there might be something to Myles Garrett's claims about Rudolph saying racist shit.

I haven't watched him but outside of the last game but Rudolph's had below 40 QBRs in his last two games while Hodges only has one game in that range and the others are between 87 and 117. Based on that very limited data, there doesn't seem to be a compelling reason to bring back Rudolph, they both seem to be below average and not far from each other.

Yah, they both suck. But don't think I've seen that poor of a QB performance as Hodges on Sunday in a while. He was completely ineffective in the 2nd half. And there's been plenty of bad ones this season (I didn't watch the Rudolph's game against the Bengals other than the play at the end). Just odd that when you're still in the playoff hunt, you stick with your undrafted free agent over the one you drafted in the 3rd round last year.

This will warm @Eboue's heart.

2020 Pro Bowl snubs and surprises: NFL experts audit the AFC, NFC rosters
Eric Karabell, fantasy football writer: Not sure what else Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott needs to do, but he's having a better statistical season with flashier numbers than Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees, who both made the team in the NFC. Voting shouldn't be about your career or your team's current record.
Kevin Seifert, national NFL writer: At the very least, I thought the word was out that Aaron Rodgers was having a season that was at best efficient but in no way accolade-worthy. I was wrong, and am reminded how reputation-based the Pro Bowl balloting system is. Rodgers' QBR ranks No. 17 in the NFL for a reason.
Seth Walder, sports analytics writer: The volume of undeserved reputational selections, such as Tyreek Hill, Jarvis Landry, Travis Frederick, Frank Clark, Geno Atkins, Darius Slay and Jalen Ramsey. But no pick stands out more than Aaron Rodgers, who has had middling production this season despite playing behind the league's best pass-blocking offensive line, making the NFC team over Prescott and Kirk Cousins.

the tide is turning. all across america people are rising up. they see the truth. they feel it. they know it in their bones. its as much a part of them as their middle name or their favorite color. we dont have to live like this. it's 2014. obama is droning children. aaron rodgers is a great player. the chicago cubs are still losers. ive never heard of lizzo. now its 2019 and kirk cousins and ryan tannehill were snubbed for the pro bowl.

Tannehill wasn't snubbed, he doesn't deserve it over Mahomes, Jackson or Watson.

Allen Robinson was though, didn't get in but Hill and Jarvis fecking Landry did.

Didn’t realise they don’t have TNF this week and instead playing Saturday (I knew they played Saturday for this week but didn’t know they don’t play Thursday as a consequence)

there’s a whole bunch of people picked on career over actual performance this year. I feel like it’s moreso than normal too

Absolute blatent facemask by Pats off course goes unpunished. Horrible cheating team

That’s such a bullshit call, I know you have to be protective of players heads, but Goff slid late and he was trying to protect himself.

49ers not yet got their offense moving. Hope they can put some good plays together and get back into this.
