NFL Thread 2013-14

Great game. Absolutely shocking offense. Sherman being a dick afterwards!

Kaepernick loves to throw interceptions against Seattle. Someone asked why they don't throw to Sherman, and that's why.

Erin was so scared, ahahahah I can't believe Sherman was that much of a dick , I'm in tears here.

I really, really didn't want to be cheering for Peyton in the SB, but that fecking twat Shermann makes it impossible for me to shout for Seattle.

Agreed. I hate the media's love for Mr Omaha but he's a classy bastard and full of respect for his opponents. Sherman is a classless twat and I don't think I want to see him and Carroll win.

Add me to that list, slightly reluctantly....

And Sherman graduated from Stanford? Intwesting...

Ok I'll support the Seahawks and Sherman, I hope he has a pick 6 to win it so he can give the greatest post-game interview in sports history.

For a moment I thought Sherman would smash the old guy on the head with the trophy. Fortunately he seems to have calmed down a little.

I'm not scared of Denver. Their defense won't be as dominant as the last 4 Seattle has played (Arizona; St Louis; San Francisco; New Orleans). And defensively, Seattle can match Denver talent-wise.

Harvin will be back too.

I'm biased, so I'm always going to say this, but I'm cool with the attitude. Seattle is full of players like that and you get used to it watching them every week.

feck yeah! Glad I made it all the way through last night, and it's been too long since Seattle made it to the Superbowl.

Shutting down Manning is going to be a mountainous task I think though.

i reckon Peyton will have a massive passing day against the Seahawks, and Sherman's idiotic grandstanding will come back to haunt him.

Alright. Couple things from that game:

*I thought Kaepernick played well. The OC let him do what he does best in the first half, making big runs and throwing when he couldn't make a mistake. But I stll felt like the Seattle D left a few interceptions out there in the first half.

*Statistically, the teams were very similar (308 total yards each; Seattle ran 58 plays, SF ran 54; Seattle had 8/66 penalties, SF had 7/65 etc etc). The only difference is Lynch was able to get far more yardage than Gore, and that Wilson (despite having an off-day) passed the ball around more, took care of the ball better and made the crucial play for the go-ahead touchdown whereas Kaeprnick was responsible for three turnovers.

*I called the game 21-12, it ended 23-17.

*In a game where everything else was pretty much even, the ability of the quarterbacks told: Kaep threw two interceptions; Wilson made an incredibly play on 4th down to take the lead.

*Denver are a great team, but there's no way this is going to turn into a shootout. Harvin will be back too (hopefully).

*Also, feck the Niners. I'm sorry guys, I'm just happy one of the teams I like made it to the big game! :D

One thing is for sure, against Seattle Manning won't be able to stand like a statue in the pocket and not be touched like he was yesterday.

Pathetic pass rush from the Pats and that would be my area of focus in the offseason. It would take pressure off the secondary too. Not many can cover the receivers for 7 seconds as the qb checks through his receivers. Perhaps Wilfork would have been able to at least collapse the pocket a bit but even then it's not enough on a consistent basis.

Hope both teams lose in the Superbowl!!

He's an interesting one Sherman, think he's far more intelligent than he lets on.

Right but people are just going to see from him what they see on that field.

As a lover of defensive football, I find Sherman frustrating.

When you are as good as he and Thomas are you don't need all these antics to get attention. He's not quite as good as Revis a few years back but his size is a real plus. He needs to cut it out and just play football, he's pretty good at it.

I think it's the way he's wired, he has to play like he has a chip on his shoulder constantly to get the best out of himself.
