NFL Thread 2013-14

Kaepernick just isn't an elite quarterback. Great athlete, good with his legs but that's what the running back is for. You can't go to a superbowl when your QB can't manage 100 yards in the conference championship.

FG is good. Niners most likely will need the TD given the time that is left. I don't think Kaepernick can get it.

I think the issue is with the receivers not being able to get open. Has been an issue all season long. Although it improved when Crabtree came back, this is the best secondary in the NFL.

Seattle stuck with their running game, and that has paid dividends. Greg Roman seems to spin the roulette wheel to decide whether to call a run or pass play...and seems to have given up on Gore.

It's taking more than usual for defensive coordinators across the league to adjust, but one wonders how Kaep, Wilson and Newton will adopt once the read-option/run effect isn't as effective.

Crabtree has to man up and take the hit.

The Niners have barely used the read option this year. That isn't the issue at all.

The Niners need to be able to get their receivers open..and Roman needs to be able to call a game.

Completion!! Could Kaepernick actually do it...

To be fair, I don't think either of those guys runs the read-option very much. Especially not Newton or Wilson.

Sherman is a dick. Great player but a gigantic cnut. His coach is also a cnut.

Great game. 2 superb defenses, a very well contested game.

Seahawks and Wilson will have to do a much better job in the RedZone against Denver. It will be a great match-up between a great defense and a great offense.

The officials were terrible, if this is the best they have then that is slightly concerning. Also, they need to change the rules so that every play is reviewable. Not being able to review the fumble is a joke.

I think that has all but wrapped up the Superbowl for Denver. San Fran had a better chance of beating them.

I don't think Wilson and that offence can go toe to toe with Peyton. They have too many weapons even for this secondary.

Will anyone outside of Seattle be rooting for them in the SB?

OMG Sherman is great, he's a massive cnut but when you back it up you just gotta let that boy cook.
