NFL Thread 2013-14

And that should seal the win.

Shanahan should be slaughtered for his offensive tactics this half. Redskins were in with a great chance of winning this but went away from the run game and are now being blown out. Idiots.

Another pick  and another big hit.

Denver's D is killing RG3.

And now Peyton throws a pick. fecking cnut is killing me in the fantasy team.

Honestly, if Washington bothered running the ball this half, they could've won.

And 1 more pick for good measure, this time for a TD.

Denver's 4 games after the bye will be a good indication how good they are and how good the Chiefs are (they play twice).

And another Washington interception

The quality of the football in this quarter has been very, very poor.

Wow!!!!

109 yard KO return for a TD. Vikings up 7-0.

Nelson's a brilliant receiver. Rodgers has thrown 2 beautiful passes for TDs.

This dude on C4 is really good. Enjoying listening to his and Carlson's analysis.

Yeah, the analysis on C4 has been on form tonight.

But Packers have been immense, except for the stupid defensive penalties giving away points (ten actually). But Packers getting away with it. Its nice to have a running game to compliment air Rodgers. And the receivers (with safe hand Nelson) are ripping it today. Jennings probably forgot what its like to play with a real QB.

Rocky, he was the one upside of the BBC's shed, though I haven't seen the show up until a minute ago, I'd imagine he'd doing a lot better with the likes of Carlson to discuss with.

Easy win.

Jennings probably begging Rodgers at the end there to take him back to Green Bay. Rodgers didn't look interested to hear what Jennings was saying.

Well done to C4, really enjoyed the coverage today.

Ble. Not suprised at all. Didn't even bother watching the game (didn't help that it was at like 2 in the morning). Vikings are useless, the coaching staff needs to be fired at the end of the season, all the QBs are useless and we need a ton of defensive players.

Blind faith

It would be a really weird season if Giants make the play off's. They were truly horrible in that 0-6 run, though they trail the division leaders only 2 matches. Eagles with Vick out and Redskins are starting to fall off the pace, but I'll be thrilled if your blind faith pays off.

Read a stat that said the Cowboys are 1-8 when Dez Bryant has 2 or more TD catches.

Very strange stat - and not sure what the reason is.

When will they say enough is enough? He was like a spoiled brat spitting his dummies out yesterday.

Agree - he obviously has talent, but if getting hime involved in the offense seems to cost the team wins, then he should be gotten rid of.

I heard the NBC commentary say that, of the Packers' 53 players, only three have played anywhere else. That's some stat qiven the apparent transience of american sportsmen.

Q: if a player gets noted for carries and yards rushed, if he is pushed back behind where he gets the ball, does he get minus yards? Where do teh yards count from? - where he gets it or the line of scrimmage?

Larry Fitzgerald supposedly on the trading block which I believe ends this week. I don't agree how early the deadline ends but if Larry is really on the trading block and I'm the Packers or Patriots GM, I'm going all in. What do you want, Arizona?

And of course Bleacher Report posted a trade article...

But this one is probably better...

The Pats should do everything possible to make this happen. He and Gronk would be incredible with Brady

You're assuming Gronk can remain healthy.

Hopefully he does. But even if he's injured Fitzgerald is a legitimate #1 receiver and would cause defenses problems by himself. We need someone like that as it's too easy right now to stop the offense.

The D has been strong (despite the numerous injuries), the running game has been mostly effective. It's only the passing game which needs big improvement, Fitz would be the last piece of the jigsaw that Brady needs. If, and it's a big if, the Pats get him I like our chances of making a SB run. Right now, even though we're 6-2, we look like we'll be a one-and-done team.

Line of scrimmage. So yes if he is tackled behind the line of scrimmage he gets credit for negative yards.

No Fitzgerald but Pats have traded for Sopoaga and a sixth-round pick for a fifth-round pick. Hopefully this works as well as the Talib move last year.
