DangeRuss shouldn’t have thrown that fat sb pick if he wanted HOF creds.I also am not convinced that Wilson makes it into the HOF.

Kupp to Seahawks - 3 year deal
3Y, $45m.I might be wildly out on this but I’m kinda relieved we’ve not jumped at him. Not seen the deal yet obviously but expect it to be an overpay.

I think it's pretty bad actually and will be evident earlyNot too bad, but I don’t see that being looked at favourably in 3 years. As I say I could be wrong.

If Denver is gonna take a gamble at the WR position, it should be in the draft.I might be wildly out on this but I’m kinda relieved we’ve not jumped at him. Not seen the deal yet obviously but expect it to be an overpay.

By gamble here I mean of course his age given the current state of the team, not quality; he’d be perfect for Payton if he was younger.
In a class desperately short of potential starting calibre QBs I wouldn't be so sure.Seems that teams are starting to realize Sanders really isn't that good & is falling down draft boards. He could slip out of the first round entirely.
$125m per year tied up to Burrow, Chase and Higgins now apparently. They mishandled this so badly, could've saved tens of millions per year if they hadn't fecked around so long with Higgins and just extended Chase last offseason when he wanted to.Bengals have extended both Chase and Higgins.

Bengals fans are happy but I don't see this as a great move forward for them. They need to massively improve their O-Line and Defense and now 45% of their cap is tied up by just 3 players. Handing WRs massive contracts very rarely works out for teams that want to challenge for the Superbowl.Bengals have extended both Chase and Higgins.

Agree. Ideally they would have traded both away for a boatload of picks. Pay your QB, OL and defense, like Hendrickson, as you have said. Use the picks to get talented guys on cheap rookie contracts elsewhere.Bengals fans are happy but I don't see this as a great move forward for them. They have a generational QB in Burrows, it sounds harsh but he the blueprint for successfull teams has mostly been "Have your generational QB work with just average WRs while give him a good O-Line and Defense" - the Bengals now have the exact opposite of that.
True in a vacuum but you don't want to antagonize your franchise QB either and he's so used to playing with Chase by now. Extending him last year and trading Higgins would've been the most sensible thing, not sure he'd fetch much though especially once teams know you want to get rid. Metcalf was a 2nd and the Steelers needed to pay up for his next contract the same way a potential trade partner for Higgins would. Hopkins back in the days was a 2nd as well. AJ Brown as a 1st but he's a better player than Higgins. But yeah, trade him, even if you draft a worse WR with that pick you immediately save a shitload of money the next couple of years.Agree. And I’m not saying they should not have extended Chase in any case. But both Chase and Higgins is complete overkill. And that comes on top of the bad timing with both extensions.
You can be the Fins and have your money tied up in Tua/Tyreek/Waddle whilst not doing much…or Philly with Hurts/AJB/Slim Reaper and make SB appearances.Bengals fans are happy but I don't see this as a great move forward for them. In the case of Jalen Carter, lucky enough to. It was so glaringly obvious at the time that he was going to fall to the Eagles and they wouldn't pass up on him.You can be the Fins and have your money tied up in Tua/Tyreek/Waddle whilst not doing much…or Philly with Hurts/AJB/Slim Reaper and make SB appearances.
The difference seems to be a front office elite enough able to build dominance at the LoS through the draft…or just lucky enough to.
I guess it comes down to everyone in here agreeing that the Bengals screwed this up. They are paying much more, than they needed to and it is bound to create an extremely uneven roster.True in a vacuum but you don't want to antagonize your franchise QB either and he's so used to playing with Chase by now. Looking back, most teams who tied down their star WR early on have gotten a bargain with that tactic. Nico Collins is on $24m per year for example. Chase is better than him but not "almost twice as much money" better.
Making room for a qb trade, maybe kirk cousinsIt feels like the Vikings are cooking something, for some reason every move has been done in a way that preserves cap room for 2025. Now the issue is that there is no hole in the roster and they don't need a lot of money to sign their draftees since they only have 4 picks. At the minute they have 32m before any contract restructure.

Seems like there is a new #1 OT entrenched, Membou from Misery. Other names on the rise would be WR Golden and RB Omario Hampton, who seems to be the clear #2 RB - after Jeanty who could go quite high due to the lack of blue-chip talent at the money positions.

Surprised to see Golden overtake T-Mac on quite a few of the latest mocks. Would be nice if T-Mac actually did fall to us at #22Seems like there is a new #1 OT entrenched, Membou from Misery. Jeanty is almost too unique. There's basically no other examples of 5'8 players with that produciton profile that went in the (first half of the) first round. The only other one at that height is Clyde Edwards-Helaire with the last pick of the first round, but he didn't quite have Jeanty's output in one particular college season. Really hope he gets drafted by a fun team who can actually afford to because they haven't got too many other glaring needs, and not the Raiders or Cowboys. Vikings would be amazing but highly unlikely.Seems like there is a new #1 OT entrenched, Membou from Misery. Omarion Hampton's comps are amazing based on weight, 40-yard dash and projected draft capital. The likes of Gurley, Barkley, Zeke, Mixon.

Not a bad comp thatBarry Sanders was 5"8 and went 3rd overall, and the body builds and 40-times are comparable with Barry .05 faster timed runs. He may be the only other example in the modern era.
