NFL 2025 | Signings Signings everywhere

A lot of speculation he'll be back on a reworked contract. But I don't know how I feel about that, I think it's a good time to cut ties. Oldest starting corner in the league, he was good last season, but I think they could bring back Isiah Rodgers on the cheap, who filled in a lot and was good. They've also got Keelee Ringo, who is raw but he's got a lot of potential. DeJean probably moves out of the slot this coming season too.

Milton Williams is going to get paid, but probably not in Philly. He deserves it though. Someone is getting a monster DT, just hope it's not Washington.

They just better not let Baun walk.
Yeah. As great as he has been for us, I think it's the right time to move on.

Think Milton is one that Howie probably regrets not tying up before the season.

And looks like Baun did get paid.

Cincinnati really is fecking their contracts up pretty badly imo. Had the chance to tie down Higgins long-term before Chase started kicking up a fuzz about his contract, didn't do it, now they need to pay him $26m without a long-term contract if he's willing to play on a second franchise tag. Chase is still seeking what probably will be the largest non-QB contract in history, Hendrickson wants an extension after a sack-leading season, Gesicki is a free agent, and they've cut their starting guard Alex Cappa to clear some cap space but their O-line in front of Burrow is far from the finished product.
They should do what Howie does and structure the contracts in such a way that it's future Howie's problem

Barkley's year keeps getting better. Looks like the restructure cuts his cap hit by half for the upcoming season.

So, Seahawks are releasing Lockett and Metcalf has requested for a trade. Truly an end of era if Metcalf leaves.

Cowboys making moves and generating lot of cap space with contract restructures.

The Eagles gave up a first & a third for AJ Brown 3 years back so I wonder if someone will pay this now. Seems like an overpay

Metcalf is maybe worth a second round pick. He's probably just about a top 20 WR.

Wouldn't offer more than a second rounder for him. He's good, but not special. Considering that he will want an extension soon, I would be very hesitant to offer even that.

Isn't he effectively Seattle's WR2? It would make no sense for anyone to pay that when you can draft someone a WR2.

He certainly wouldn't be a number 2 for the Patriots

That's because they have no one but it doesn't mean that they should grossly overpay either. They can draft one.

Depends on cost for sure - it's not always as simple as just drafting one, certainly not in our case anyway

Kirk traded for a 7th to Texans in the end

Seems quite steep? He’s really not an every down player now. But then he probably brings leadership.
It is indeed steep but I think it’s a shrewd move just for the 1 year. Seems like he’s a good player to have around the dressing room and still reliable to call upon for one more year.

Free agency is like premier league transfer season on steroids for the media isn’t it. Being a beat writer must be the easiest job in the world; I’m checking Broncos news most days and I think we’ve been linked with just about every player you can think of.

Also the standard of writing is appalling, but that’s by the by.

Geno Gone New
Seahawks are trading Geno Smith to the Raiders for a third round pick. Don't know what their OL is like but if it's anything above shit, he'll probably do alright there especially with Pete Carroll.

Looks like we're blowing it all up with him and Lockett gone and DK on the trading block.

I assume it's to start the first half of the season whilst they are bedding their new QB in. But knowing the Raiders I wouldn't be surprised if they feck up the draft, stay at 6 and there's no Sanders or Ward when they come to pick.

Edit: Maybe I'm being a bit too harsh on them if they don't draft one of the two QBs. The teams picking in the top 3 could all use a decent QB so they might be unwilling to trade their pick.

There is no way they gave up a 3rd & will pay Geno as well to draft a QB. He is 34 so must see him as their QB for a few years now

He's only got one year left on his deal. It's a $31m cap hit for the Raiders. I guess we'll have a better idea on what their intentions are if they sign him to an extension before the draft. And even if they do extend him, they could just pull a Falcons and draft a QB anyway.

I think if the raiders could trade down a few spots and Sanders was still there they might draft him, but it's more likely they'll take best player available and maybe pick up Milroe or similar in the later rounds as a development qb. Personally I want the raiders to take a corner or lineman at 6 but everything could change after free agency

They’re not drafting either Ward or Sanders as they clearly see Geno as the better option. He’ll sign an extension. Can see them drafting someone in the later rounds though.

Someone who hasn't publicly boasted about putting me on ignore should post the link about Xavier Worthy. There's a queue of posters waiting to take the piss out of Worthy but they don't want it to appear like they've clicked the "show post from ignored user". Do them all a favour.

[P-robably Ignored Member] Someone who doesn’t have me on ignore should post about Xavier Worthy being arrested for *edit* allegedly choking someone. Do them a favor.[/P-robably Ignored Member]
Okay, no problem.
