NFL 2024 | Super Bowl LIX

I know that people hate the owner getting the trophy but having suffered with United with the worst owners, I think Jeffrey Lurie is such a fantastic owner that he deserves this.

59 Super Bowls. And only 10 winners that I actually rooted for won not including my team.

What the feck was that random Serena Williams shot about?
I don't know if anyone answered this for you, basically Drake questioned her husband, basically called him a bitch because he was with a famous woman. Kendrick used it as ammo in the beef and obviously wanted to twist the knife a little bit during the SB show.

I thought it was because she dated drake before she got married.

Xavier Worthy recorded the 5th most receiving yards of any player in a Super Bowl with 157 yards along with 2 TDs

So I went to passyunk Waterloo for all my Londoners.

10/10 would go back during the season, but wtf are the chants. Id rather listen to to YAWN then fly eagles fly.

@RoadTrip there's only one GOAT
Yeah boy!

I’m generally indifferent to this whole thing but I’m glad the Chiefs didn’t win yesterday because I just don’t think they’ve been great all year. Some call it knowing how to win tight games and there is some of that, but there was also a lot of luck. That’s two big beatdowns Mahomes has taken in the Super Bowl. Brady never took a beat down… GOAT

Thank god for the Eagles!

Edit: Mahomeboy actually went down 0-34  I should have stayed up to watch that.

Beefs between rappers really are the most boring form of entertainment there is.

As a long suffering Raiders fan, this was enormously satisfying. That Eagles D-line just bullied golden boy Mahomes and the Chiefs offense all game long.

Very boring game to bother staying up for. It is the self righting nature of the NFL that makes it incredible though, the eagles roster is better on every position bar 3/4 as the chiefs get thinner and thinner and rely on the best ever player and his aging sidekick. In the coming years that system still start to tear the eagles apart the same way. The eagles team building has been incredible for so many years, I wonder can they keep working that magic.

They have been lucky all year but tend to turn it on in the playoffs so I expect they would be in the superbowl regardless. Hopefully this game quiets the boring refs narrative down a bit cos the refs did a very poor job fixing the game for the chiefs of that was their intention

I've not watched the game but everyone talking about the refs could have made them more lenient against calls that should have gone for the Chiefs to quieten the narrative that they give the chiefs an easier ride

Possible based on the calls in the game, eagles certainly had the rub of the green bar one call, but hard to tell with the game state. Chiefs o line were hanging on for their lives the whole game and it made every play desperate.

Brady on the commentary spoke about the only call the chiefs got for ten minutes and barely questions another penalty for the whole game - the guy was so terrified for his legacy but it just makes the discourse even more weird and boring

Still buzzing. What a night and what an incredible performance.

Will take my mind off United and Sixers being dogshit for at least a week

I go often but I've never been for any celebrations/riots :o
I was still based in London then and was working on a big project out of our Philly office, what a trip that was ,first the Phillies won the World Series, then a week or so later Obama won the election!

The day after the super bowl is always a sad one, when the realisation hits that there's 7 whole months until the new season.
