Now I have to root for a Taylor Swift, Kelce, and Mahomes love fest because of the alternative of having the Eagles winning. Do they still show the lingerie bowl? Maybe I’ll watch that instead.

Good luck catching up to their total with the 30-year chance Jerry has granted.

Also, would only be a fourth defeat if they somehow got there and lost.

Isn't it better for you to root for Eagles than risk Chiefs building a dynasty and overtaking the Boys

Consolation prize: that serial bell end Dave Portnoy bet $1m on the Bills to win the Super Bowl and is currently melting down. feck that guy.

I hate myself, I predicted this a month ago and was too much of a pussy to lay some money on it, could've at least soothe the pain.
Some of us did that 2 months ago when lists were being drawn up in this thread putting the Chiefs as the 7th best team and the Eagles as the 5th.

One of the reasons why our offense always seems to take off in the playoffs is Mahomes running the ball. He will rarely do it in the regular season to avoid the chance of injuries but when it comes to the do or die games he'll take off and is just as lethal as the other dual threat QBs. It surprises me that defenses don't plan for it more.

I think this is the 1st time the Chiefs have scored over 30 points this entire season. Congrats by the way.

Cheers mate. It was. I was saying on my chiefs group chat at how much I was shitting it when both teams got to 29 because we don't put up more than 30. Stupid I know.

Edit: Ps. Commiserations on the loss. A lot to build on going into next season.

Eagles win will always be first priority.

Second is being happy to see Andy Reid win a SB and make the shittest elements of the fanbase who forced him out in the first place cry. Reid would have gotten it done with Howie eventually and instead we had to live through Chip Kelly.

Allen is now 0-4 against Mahomes in playoffs, no QB has ever lost consecutively to another that many times in playoffs before.
0-4 in the playoffs has a familiar ring to it in the playoffs for Buffalo fans

Josh Allen never really quite looked himself, but they still had 2 chances to take control of that game - that damn tush push never looked commanding.

Spagnuola and his unit are outstanding, what a coach.

Andy Reid's play design and placalling is masterful.

Mahomes and co are obviously brilliant too.

Watched the game in 40. Grim.
Yeah, same.

In all other instances you'd back Allen to win the game when he gets the ball down a FG with 3 minutes to go but now I didn't even remotely believe he would get it done. Feels like a decisive moment in his career, he still has plenty of time but at least for now it looks like he'll forever be the guy who couldn't get over the hump against his main foe.

Let's hope Burrow changes things up next season in the AFC.

Allen is done. Honestly.

I knew from the first drive where he almost cannoned 2 picks that when it came down to it, he just doesn’t have the resolve. He’s an excellent QB, but he just isn’t a winner.

He looked comfortable when behind. But when they got close or when they had a chance to properly go ahead, he just struggled.

Credit to Mahomes man. He’s just a winner. Simple as that. Can’t remember another guy who elevates themselves in that way when it’s the big moments except Brady. The reality though is Mahomes is another level because physically he’s just much more talented. GOAT territory already.

if we are ever to get anyone different in the AFC, it’s really down to Lamar (question marks himself) and Burrow. Potentially Stroud.

All the other hopefuls in recent times - Herbert, Allen, etc. have proven themselves to be unable to handle the big moments.

As for two weeks time, I’m not even sure if I want the Eagles or the Chiefs!
Eagles for me. Sirianni's smug face afterwards would be devastating but I'd be happy for a lof of guys on the Eagles' roster if they won a SB. And we get the added benefit of Mahomes losing another SB and hopefully postpone GOAT talk for the entire offseason.

It has to be the Eagles, the amount of love in for KC will be unbearable, so are the refs talks, or the Brady comparison, or all the conspiracies about NFL and Taylor Swift.

Unfortunately though, I think KC rushing defense is pretty well equipped to deal with the Eagles, also can see Jones and Karlaftis doing a similar job to the Rams's on Hurts. The Buffalo Bottlers might have squandered the best chance to stop them, 3 and a half minute on the clock and they couldn't even manage a field goal....

Think you're being a bit harsh on Allen. He won the Bills the game in the 13 seconds Divisional and he can't be blamed for his defense fecking up what should be a guaranteed victory. He came up short last night but there's plenty of evidence that it's not on him for those losses.

I think I’d probably tip Eagles too, but I can’t say I’m excited for the game.

Would be nice to see Barkley get a ring for his season and post season form.

Brown, Smith - Yep, sure. Not really concerned about the others much. Perhaps a few on D and the O line.

I’m not. Sadly.

A winner doesn’t go 0-4 in close games to anybody when it matters most. I’m not even saying I expect him to win all of them. Even 1 would be enough. But after a while, it can’t be “but this” or “but that”. Yesterday the game was in the hands of his offence at the end of the day. And in that moment he failed.
