Mattison is pretty good and a lot cheaper, the only question is whether he can be a factor in the passing game.

His overall production is inflated by some long runs otherwise he lost short distance speed and running being an Oline that is very good at run blocking(but not very good at pass blocking). He is still a good RB but not at the price he wanted or was supposed to get if the Vikings kept him.

you missed my white text. I don’t have much faith in mattison tbh. I think it will be a committee leaning more on mcbride.Mattison is pretty good and a lot cheaper, the only question is whether he can be a factor in the passing game.

let’s hope you’re correct. I have him on my team hence the fml.I saw your white text, that's the only reason I responded to your post.

I’ll take your word for it. you watch more vikings games than me.He has already shown that he is good but the Vikings RB room is full, so from a fantasy standpoint I wouldn't be confident about the production of any of them. Though last season he was often the short yardage and goal line back which is how he got his TDs, it may remain the same or someone like McBride could be given that role.
I think the bigger question is whether he can handle the workload of an RB1. He acted like one when Cook missed games in 2021 (32, 32, 25, ... touches per game) but he's never had to do that over an entire season in his four years in the league.Mattison is pretty good and a lot cheaper, the only question is whether he can be a factor in the passing game.
Sure shows that there ain't much of a HC fraternity according to Sean. That Sean Payton stuff is comical. Maybe we'll have a coach's spat at midfield on Oct 8th.
I've just finished the first episode of Quarterback. Kirk Cousins is Ned Flanders. He even uses the word "shoot" like he's swearing
he got drafted because his dad is a coach with the cowboys. it makes for a feel-good story and nothing more.
Fecking hell, if the caption wasn't there I would've thought this was a high school kid getting a run out with the Cowboys. There's no way this guy can handle carries on a consistent basis in the regular season without folding in half.
He I think he might get some 3th down work in a Darren Sproles kind of role.In fairness, I don't think that will be the expectation. The guys does have a pretty explosive highlight reel from college though tbf..

That Sean Payton stuff… all a bit silly really. Can’t imagine it being that far from the truth given how underperforming the broncos were last year though no need to comment in that way. Weird.
Payton’s already walking it back & apologizing. My initial reaction was to laugh, but it’s entirely unnecessary and a dick move really.

Payton blamed it on commenting while 'still wearing his Fox hat.'I suspect there was a pretty big fallout in the building.
