NFL 2023

Taylor asking for a trade. That’s sort of come out of nowhere, or maybe I’ve just not been keeping up.

He wants a contract while Irsay has come out & openly said that running backs shouldn’t complain about being underpaid/franchise tagged

I'm known as a Rodgers apologist. That being said, Payton is way more of an asshole than Rodgers.

Payton is an asshole who should have done jail time.

At least we (United) aren't the only ones with horrendous owners! Such a stupid thing to do, why say anything?

Because it's true and because everyone knows it by now. Even the players themselves are acknowledging it:

As long as the rules are not adapted (e.g. shorter first contract for RBs drafted in the higher rounds) then GMs are gonna make business decisions that benefit their team and the financials, and that's not extending your running back who's been subject to the wear & tear of the NFL. If you're a downhill bruiser not named Derrick Henry you are just very easily replaceable, so why would a team invest in you anyway? Adapt your skillset, prove your worth to the team (beyond the first few years in the league) and you'll still get paid. I think we'll see more and more "offensive weapons" getting paid rather than pure RBs, i.e. CMC, Bijan and Gibbs coming into the league now, ... Catching passes and being able to stay on the field for all downs and game situations is a prerequisite and the bare minimum right now for any RB wanting to get paid.

Taylor enters a contract year now (Yr 4) if I'm not mistaken; if he already knows he won't get paid by the Colts after this season, it's the right move to request a trade or don't show up.

You misunderstand me, I've even made my own comments on it earlier in this thread. What I say has nothing to do with the RB situation. What I mean to say is its stupid that an owner speaks out about the future of a player. Sit the feck down and let the GM handle it.

Tweets out there saying that it's an achilles injury, and the video certainly doesn't seem too good :( Would be a devastating blow for him after the ACL tear last season.

Damn, ACL one year on one leg, Achilles next year on the other leg. That sucks.

Again, the perfect guy for Russ's moon shots down the boundary.

But you know who is surprisingly good at that as well despite his size? Marvin Mims.

We. Are. Cursed.

Not to take anything away from your pain at this moment but I actually don't think that's too bad for the WR position group.

You had your WR1 and WR2 available for 26 out of 34 games (Jeudy) and 32 out of 34 games (Sutton) the last two seasons. Sutton has barely missed a game apart from the ACL year. And Hamler is barely a role player.

If you can go into the season with Jeudy (poised for a true breakout imo), Sutton, Mims and Dulcich that's a great set of receivers for Wilson and Payton to work with - could even add Perine as a good pass-catcher out of the back. It's just for Patrick personally that this absolutely sucks, two years in a row and he'll be almost 31 when the 2024 season comes around.

You might be right, but I’m too invested in Patrick to see reason right now!

That's going to be a short stint in Dallas then..

Err so yeah I got NFL Game Pass last year around September, and today I checked my bank account and DAZN has withdrawn an amount equal to that. So I check on their site and it says I've got Game Pass now but on DAZN, without even having an account there. How can this be possible? Why would they charge long before I got my plan last year, without even letting me know that I've paid for it. No e-mail, nothing.

How can I go about cancelling this? Support is closed and I can't cancel it on their site. I'm raging at this shite.

Everyone who has a Game Pass account had their accounts transferred. There were several emails from them about it tbf, as ridiculous as the situation is.

I cancelled my auto renewal as the new platform sucks balls, you can try complaining and asking for a refund I guess.

This is standard practice, I believe. They simply renew each pass on August 1st, regardless of when you initially bought it.

Are you sure you didn't get any emails in this respect? I got like 5 of them prior to the renewal and know a lot of people who also got loads.

No e-mails, just checked.
