A 7-10 record could clinch the playoffs in the NFC South. Would that be the least "winningest" (Christ, I hate that word) percentage in history to get there?

Watched the Dolphins game and while Tua has to take a lot of blame I still can't get over why Mike McDaniel did not challenge that long throw that clearly got the ground and that would have taken 7 points of the Packers.

There had to be clear pictures of that for him to throw the challenge surely.

The difference between winning and losing you lose those 7 points and you still win with Tua throwing three straight interceptions

Denver will get their second choice from last cycle, Dan Quinn, as their next HC plus Schottenheimer as OC after we miss on Payton for whatever reasons (LA or Arizona) is my way-too-early guess.

Little chance we take a…chance on another first-time HC.

That might be entertaining if the reports about Wilson being the driving force behind firing him in Seattle are true.

Wait, I thought they did great under him until Pete put the brakes on the offense? I might’ve gotten that totally wrong.
Yeah, that was the assumption everyone made, myself included. But right before the start of the season, the Seahawks put out the standard "everything was the fault of the guy who just left" hit piece that United release everytime we sack a manager, which suggested that Wilson was the one who was pushing against Schottenheimer as the offense struggled that season and wanted him fired at the end of the year, wanting Waldron brought in (the latter part was reported at the time). Then after week 1 of 2021 where the offense looked totally different, Wilson reverted to hero-ball for the rest of the year before asking to be traded again and this time getting his wish.

At the time, I ignored most of the claims because, like I said, it was part of the standard push everything onto the guy who left playbook. But it's interesting to note that a lot of the issues in Denver look almost identical to the issues Seattle had - an incredibly high % of 3 and outs, a low 3rd down % etc, while Seattle have generally looked more consistent this season even if Geno is starting to regress unfortunately.

Chargers are one of those teams where you don't really know how to categorise them. Best shot i've had is "competently dumb".

Chargers are going to be interesting in the playoffs. If they finish 5th I think they will beat the AFC south winnner

Hopefully Tua is alright. Poor guy has had absolutely rotten luck with injuries throughout his career.

He'll surely have to sit out the season and re-assess in several months time.

3 concussions in roughly 4 months. How can you not retire after that?

That's what I have in mind. He should take the money he already has and retire, maybe get early into coaching if he wants to stay around Football.
