I don’t know if it’s because I really believe it or if it’s because I want it to be true, but I feel the Cardinals or Cowboys on their day have enough to win at Lambeau. I’d say the Bucs but that would not be for any other reason other than Brady is therefore so just have to assume they can always have a decent chance of winning. If they reach the SB though, they match up very well vs the Chiefs and I’m not sure I would trust Wentz even though Taylor is a great matchup against them. If Titans get everyone healthy, they could be a real dark horse. And the Bills are such an enigma.

I think this is true for the Cards if they get healthy enough in time and clean up the penalties. Rodney Hudson coming back made a huge difference against the Cowboys as I suspected it would. Fun fact, of the 5 games Hudson has missed, 3 of them have been losses (GB, DET, IND). The only loss the Cards had with both Murray and Hudson healthy was against the Rams and I think the Cards win that if they make a couple of catches.

With all that said, I think there are too many variables in play though for the Cards as no guarantees of players like Hopkins or Watt being healthy in time. As a result, I do think this is the Packers' best shot to get to another SB and don't see anyone realistically challenging them at Lambeau.

Mayfield has completed 4 of 15 pass attempts for 58 yards including 10 consecutive incompletions and a dreadful interception. And he still has a higher yards per attempt than Big Ben FFS. This game is terrible and yet I can't look away.

‘Hey Baker, just wanted to call and give you a heads up we’ll be taking Malik Willis here. We really need a backup QB’
—‘You…you’re taking a backup QB at #12?’
’Yep.’ *click

Pop-quiz: who is the guy with the highest dot, just right of the middle in the 90’s? (you don’t get to answer @Eboue )

As I started watching the NFL a couple of years ago I wouldn't have had a clue, but googling the answer led me to Statmuse, which seems like a pretty awesome website I didn't know about.

You seem to be able to put quite a few wacky variables in and it often gives you an answer.

As for the actual answer, it's giving me...
Warren Moon (Houston Oilers v KC Chiefs) 16th Dec 1990 - 11.7 yards/attempt

I had kinda already gotten used to "the football team".

Did I read right he was sacked 9 times? That must be close to a record surely.

Pleased Ben can sign of his last home game with a win

Yeah, he got sacked 9 times, think about half of those were TJ Watt who's now one away from the all time record for a single season.

Apparently the record for most times sacked in a game is 12 so Mayfield didn't even manage to get that.

Great achievement - he has already eclipsed his brother's best total. If he does break the record, people will point to the fact that this is a 17 game season, but he has actually missed two games, so it is very impressive!

Just finally watched Bengals Chiefs. What a game. And what shenanigans at the end. Surely Titans will take the bye now. And with that week to get healthy they will be damning dangerous. We need to win against the Dolphins as it’s imperative we avoid a road game vs the Bengals or Chiefs.

TJ Watt is a freak.

On a points per game basis, this defense outperformed the No Fly Zone that dragged pseudo-Peyton Manning and Brock the giant to a SB trophy...and we’ll finish under 0.500. Sheesh.

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Over the last 10 games of the season, Courtland Sutton averaged 4.2 targets, 2.4 catches and 29.2 yards per game. That's a guy they agreed to pay $60m over the course of the next four years.

Best case scenario is Rodgers/Wilson and a new HC next season, worst case is that nothing changes. You won't go anywhere with Fangio and Lock, unfortunately.

Christ.

Up until he started chatting shit about covid, I thought he was just a normal, fairly likable guy. Has he just recently become a lunatic, or is it just getting more attention now?

It's mad - even on the Pat McAfee show I thought 90% of the time he came off well, but it has taken a dramatic turn to the cnut direction since the Covid/Cancel culture stuff.

I reckon a very large portion of superstar athletes would be equally as moronic/disappointing if you got access like we have with Rodgers.

I hope they have a plan in place and don’t waste this defense and skill position corps, because there’s no ‘plug-and-play’ QB in this draft except maybe Pickett and the way people are talking he won’t last past 10.

I'm sure prior to covid, when he talked about non-football stuff, he seemed quite level headed. Seemed to lean slightly to the left, if anything. It's odd that, all of a sudden, he's on the road to going full-QAnon.

Tbf I know loads of people who appear largely 'left' but can't resist the cancel culture, reverse racism/sexism, covid denying tropes.

I suppose he should get some credit for... like reading?

It’s no surprise to anyone that the defence is the only functioning part of the team but that’s pretty mad that they’ve outdone the NFZ, even though the secondary is bonkers talented.

EDIT: Oh no, I read the comments. I never learn.

The worst I thought of him was that he was arrogant prick who always thought he was really smartest person in the room. Nothing in particular against him. Since he got caught lying about his vaccination status, it's just taken a wild turn for the worse. Maybe he is just a normal guy who happens to have bizarre views on covid, but it's probably likelier that he's always been a weird prick and we're just seeing more and more of him now.

As an avid watcher of his interviews I can confirm to you that he's a normal, fairly likeable guy and is most certainly not a lunatic. He literally made a joke about the book an people are up in arms, I wonder who are the real lunatics.

I've seen most of his interviews this season, and I certainly can't agree that he is normal or likeable anymore. He was sat there wearing a "cancel cancel culture" sweatshirt*, claiming he is in the "crosshairs of cancel culture" whilst his audience and the attention paid towards him literally grows by the week every time he says something daft. He is the living embodiment of the exact opposite of cancel culture, and a tone-deaf major league chud.

Is McAfee Barstool? I could see a wife beater-wearer working alongside Portnoy.
