Reason for optimism but I fear that Denver will have nothing left to play for when he's able to return to the field.
Yep. I don’t think I was the only one expecting them to make a big jump this year; some had the AFC West pegged as the toughest division in part because of that.

Getting to the playoffs now will be a big ask.

Huge contract for Ramsey. Huge guarantees.

Shame to see Miller out, could make it back for the backend of the season but it’ll be too little too late and likely he’d be v rusty.

Hopefully this, combined with a Saints win on Sunday, will stop the Bucs hype train for a while (although I'm hoping it's nothing serious of course). I'm already annoyed by them before they've played a game together.

Luckily I think both the Saints and Falcons will still finish ahead of them.

I've noticed that NFL fantasy websites are a lot more sophisticated than our football ones.

Is there an app that will help guide me to which players I should pick on a weekly basis?

Also I'm aware that in NFL you can rotate players for a team entirely until k.o?

You have a "Start 'Em, Sit 'Em" blog on nfl.com, which appears each Wednesday. It's already up for this Sunday. Each fantasy football website has its own segments for that stuff, including podcasts and all.

You can indeed rotate between your bench and starting line-up as much as you like during the week. Once a player's game starts and he's in your starting line-up, you can't replace him anymore though. So e.g. if you have Sammy Watkins in your line-up, he'll be locked tomorrow and you can't replace him anymore before the weekend because he plays tonight.

Oh and yeah, NFL fantasy is a thousand times better than the lousy PL one.

Cheers.

So on Saturday I can make changes to my players that will feature Sunday right?

Sleeper app has a projected points but I've been told it's highly inaccurate.

Yeah don’t look at those projections.

And yep, that’s possible!

The part between 5:40 and 6:20 where some guy is trying to explain to Ed Oliver where the wind directions are

Will also be interesting to follow (and see which teams will/won't participate).

Feels surreal that football's back tonight. Let's. Fecking. Go.

Should be a very good game to kick off the season. Glad NFL is back & hopefully we get an entire season completed.

I really do feel like the NFL BLM protests have become really based around the national anthem. I’m of course supporting their protest and they can do it however they want to to make their stand - the main thing is that they’re making themselves heard at the end of the day. But I’m just wondering if it’s something they and the NFL should do differently this year.

Not sure what that’d be, but I just think it would be more effective if they did something else and take the constant focus away from it being about disrespecting the flag to actually being about the issue.

But then again changing their protest means is like folding and letting those they’re protesting against control the narrative of their protest.

I’m off tomorrow so will watch it with breakfast - I fancy a bit of a shoot out first 2/3 quarters then Chiefs to pull away and win by 10+

Madden 21 seems to have a free trial this weekend, haven't played in a few years. Might give it a try

So I have the Chiefs in my defence. What are the best ways I might nick points?

Oh dear Courtland Sutton's turn to potentially be injured

You gotta anticipate more injuries the fact that nobody got into full contact for months now, including pre-season games. No QB has taken any hits or landed on the ground, yet.

Any niggle or strain will be different because there hasn't been full blown contact for months.

I spent all of last year 100% in on Tanking for Tua. We had a shit team and whilst I wasn't cheering against the team, the first thing I thought of when we did lose was excitement at the upcoming draft.

The Dolphins how have Tua and more importantly, for the first time in years I have hope for the future. Though I don't expect us to be particularly good this season.

Haha are they bad? who should i go for instead?
Nah they're totally fine. If the Eagles or Chargers are available, those might be better options but the Chiefs actually have a great (and underrated) defense.

Skip Bayliss demonstrates he’s an absolute cnut with his comments on Dak coming out about his struggles with depression. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone on a sports show talk as much nonsense as Bayliss does on a daily basis.

This now explains a tweet I saw earlier and forgot to find out what it was referencing...

They are in one of the toughest divisions and they play their divisions rivals twice a year which means for 6 games you can’t expect to score too much cause all 3 offenses are capable of putting up good number of points. Who else is left for D/ST?
