Plus you have to take into account that the Patriots’ offensive system was designed for a weak, immobile QB.

:p

Thats one thing i am really interested in seeing is how Cam will perform with that offensive line .

I just think he will really perform to his best level now he has better protection than he is used too

Yes he has to stay fit but he has had a lot if time to heal and get back to his best .

I am certainly not a Patriots fan but i can see them doing really well this season and they are a major threat to anyone

Step 1: draft a RB in the second round
Step 2: sign a 35-year old RB demanding playing time a week before the season starts
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit

@Eboue must be loving this.

Do you think they’ll eventually do something different with the RB position in fantasy with more and more teams platooning up at the position?

He's managed to average nearly 1,000 yards per year over the past couple of seasons, so if he can put up similar numbers while allowing Johnson and Swift a bit of time to develop, then $1m will probably end up being a good investment.

Dunno, don't really have a clue about that. The shift to 2QB leagues has shown that people in the industry are wanting to put more emphasis on the most important position in football, and rightly so. Not sure how they would solve the issue if every backfield becomes a committee though. Points per snap/touch could become a thing but it'll take a long time before they drastically change the current format imo.

We already see this season that apart from the top 10-12 RBs, the position is a fecking mess.

One week till 7 hours of commercial free football

One. Week.

I’m going to do a NFL trivia question per day up to the 1st game, if it’s okay. I’m a bit bored.

Today’s is in honor of Chase Boseman and John Thompson, who both passed last weekend: Last season, black QBs won each of the rookie of the year, MVP, and Super Bowl MVP awards together for the first time.

  • Who was the last black QB to win Super Bowl MVP before Mahomes? (Please spoiler answers, not sure if this one is too easy).

Doug Williams?

Russell Wilson surely ? Unless there's a back up i can't think off

Malcolm Smith when the Seahawks won it.

No idea who the last black QB was. Can't think of anyone after 2000.

Smith wasn't a quarterback but they may have had a black quarterback as back up to Wilson . Not sure if there has been any since .

But the question was to win SB MVP? Wilson didn't win it when he won the SB.

Cowboys signing Brandon Carr . Not the signing i was looking for but he was good last year with Baltimore

12 grand a week for living the life in Texas  Legend.

They changed the rules on PS recently? Used to be one could not be on the PS if they had a full year of credible NFL service.
It already was 3 years I think. All changes (due to Covid-19, for the most part) are explained here.

Will there be a 2020 Losers Pool? Fun game, even though I always try to get too clever and go out after two rounds.

just drafted in a 14 man league with expanded bench spots @RobinLFC

Dislike Jones, like Tyrod as a streamer.

I like Hunt and the upside of Edmonds/Pollard if their starters go down, McKinnon is a wildcard at this point.

I'd have taken JuJu, Ridley or Beckham over Moore but I just don't like him. Diontae Johnson will be great.

Jared Cook sucks, Jonnu Smith will be your starter and he'll finish as a top-10 TE.

I'd hate to draft first in a 14-team league.
