Brady has to win out, right? Losing to Jacksonville (Bortles!) or Minnesota (Keenum!!) or Philadelphia (Foles!!!) would be a massive setback for what he achieved last season. It's not like he'd be losing to a fellow top tier QB but would be losing to a top tier defense. It would be worse than losing to the Giants (twice) IMO.

Still the GOAT in my view but losing against this field would not be kind to the season he's had and his legacy. A sixth championship is practically in one hand.
Well Brady is only part of the equation right. Up to the Pats D to shut down the Offenses they face.

At this point anything he does is just shining up the legacy, he won't fall from being the GOAT if the Pats do not win this season.

Pretty easy to say from the couch. He's like two inches from the guy at full speed before the ball is there.

He overplayed the pass and put himself in a stupid situation then fell down to avoid a surefire PI, and took his teammate out. That guy should probably catch a flight to another state.

Edit: NFL Primetime has some former players trying to explain. They're lost for words. The one guy said he misplayed the pass then overshot his boundary (they were playing a boundary zone to keep a receiver from getting out of bounds).

If the saints defender had tackled him after the catch, Diggs would have gone out and they would have had time for a field goal anyway, no? Maybe that's why he went for the interception?

He didnt go for the pick..he got to Diggs too soon, thought he would cause a PI call...Vikes were out of timeouts....he should of tried to stop his momentum took Diggs down after the catch and hoped the clock would run out before they could down the ball.

Got it.

But so what if it would have ended up a PI? The clock still keeps running no? In fact it would have been better to get a PI and let the clock run out no?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Just got into NFL in the last year or so.

Clock stops and it would have set them up perfectly for a field goal

Either way, you cannot end a game on a defensive penalty (I think)

He fcked up bad, but you gotta feel for the kid. Only 21 years old and had a solid season. Hopefully he bounces back from this.

Joe Buck has developed a personality, but he used to be so understated that it was almost like he wasn't human. He was so bad for playoff baseball on FOX with Tim McCarver
Agreed. He bores the hell out of me most of the time, but, if he wasn’t able to get hyped for the Diggs TD, he really wouldn’t be human and should be out of a job. Not asking him to be Gus Johnson, but that play will go down in the history books as one of the most memorable NFL moments. Good on him for acting like any normal person would and showing some passion for a change.

Ah bollocks I decided the game would be a boring one sided affair st half time. Look what happened.

Great game. Unfortunate missed tackle by the Saints rookie. Tough on him but you gotta make that tackle.

Vikings are going all the way I said it before!

Just popped in to say that defensive back on the last play for the Saints, was one of the stupidest, most idiotic things i've ever witnessed in sports.
That is all.
Don’t know why he didn’t rugby tackle him. Just wrap him up and keep him in bounds.... sounds simple I suppose.

The fan reaction compilations are already amazing. Postseason has been quite good. Should be 2 good games next week also.

What an ending! Turned it off at HT thinking it was over.

Yea I didn't think there was anything worth staying up for but bloody hell!!

There's some brilliant videos on the NFL Instagram account.

Btw it´s absolutely stupid that the Saints defender could hold onto the Vikings player to stop the Vikings from getting into formation for the next play. He forced the Vikings to take their final timeout in that situation. That should have been an unsportsmanlike 15 yard penalty instead. Reminds me of the time, when the Giants used their fake cramping BS to stop no-huddle offenses.

So - am I right in saying that in this years Superbowl, the AFC is the Home team?

If so, and assuming the Vikings do indeed make the Superbowl, does this mean they’ll end up being in the road team locker room in their own stadium?

Have you seen the one with Scott Hanson’s reaction - it is epic

So what's the prediction on Pats - Jags? The Jags D is supposedly very good, but the Steelers dropped 42 points on them, with 545 total yards, 469 of them through the passing game. 5 passing TDs by Big Ben (6 if you count the lateral to Bell). Have the Jags D been found out, or was the game an anomaly on their part?

I just hope the Pats D manage to lock down Bortles (!) and Fournette, and that Brady works his magic with Amendola again stepping up as the slot receiver.

I'm sat here at my desk struggling to breath from holding in the laughter :lol:

He was brilliant. Obviously knows his stuff but he was much more natural presenting than Neil who seems robotic in comparison. Would love to see him on BBC for the SB with Carlson.

I've supported the NFC team in the superbowl for as long as I can remember - will be the same again this year unless Bortortle evolves.

No matter who wins next Sunday we will have some good storylines for the Super Bowl

Pats trying to add one more title to a great resume.

Jags D with Bortles at QB putting on a great playoff run with a good defense. Over comingthe heavily favored Pats.

Eagles with returnee Nick Foles and a great D looking to end Philly's football championship drought for some of the most rabid fans in football.

Vikings, left for dead get a miracle play to stay alive. Keenum is a great story also. Awesome Defense.

Of course any match up could bring a heavily defense favorable, low scoring game lacking much entertainment.

So do we think Keenum is a legitimate #1 QB now or just a decent one who fits their system perfectly?

I haven't seen a lot of the Vikings this year apart from RedZone, but he looks like a good field general who limits mistakes and occasionally makes some great throws, as he did yesterday. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up next season.

I think he’s playing like a franchise QB. I’d put him in the same category as guys like Mariota and Cousins, pushing towards Matt Ryan. Also has guys like Thielen making him look good.

Colts expected to hire Josh McDaniels... AFC South will be very competitive next year.

Shurmur is expected to go to New York, who can replace him?

His turnovers are always of the stupidest kind and he has one of the best receiving corp in the league.

Hopefully its Nick Saban
Sarcasm? I follow college football and he really impresses me but he is really disliked.

Keenum is a system quarterback ffs, he's fine but there's a reason he's sucked everywhere else.

Any word on replacement yet?
Hopefully its Nick Saban

If memory serves, Schefter was thinking it may be McDaniels and hence pulling the plug on Mularkey now in order to go after McDaniels before another club gets him.

Have been informed by some Michigan friends that Patricha to the Lions is a done deal.

Saban covets the Giants job if all those rumor/insiders are legit. I think he's going to remain at Alabama (wish he'd feck off).
