Hope he goes to the Raiders or the Titans.

My Skin's sign Josh Norman, 5 year contract... $75mil, $50 guaranteed.

He'll be good, but we've overpaid for a big name in free agency AGAIN. Whatever...it''s not my money, and we won't be a contender anytime soon...so why not?

Plus we get to watch Norman V OBJ twice a year now

On the Rams trade, I seem to be the odd one out but I don't actually think it's a bad move. Risky? Hell yeah for sure. But not necessarily bad.

You have to remember the Rams are in a very different position to many teams who are moving up or have moved up for a QB in the past in that they actually have a solid team. Their defence is probably top 10, they have a pro bowl running back, and a fairly solid o-line. They need help at QB and at wide out but other then that they are very good.

That's a big difference to say Tampa or the Titans who drafted QBs last year. They are all around weak teams so they need much more from their QB right away. Winston in particular had a great rookie season by all accounts but Tampa still weren't able to make the post season.

At the Rams whoever they draft, they don't need the guy to throw 40 times a game. They don't need him to carry the offence. He won't always be chasing a score because their defence doesn't suck. Point is, it's a much more rookie friendly footballing situation to develop in. Of course all the shebang about the move to LA won't help though.

Overall I think it's risky but worth it. If they find a franchise QB, the instantly propel themselves into post season mainstays just because the rest of the team is solid. Which is different to say the Titans who look like they have a franchise QB but still need to draft or sign a lot of players to make the rest of the team up to scratch.

On a side note, almost all the teams coming to London making moves except the Colts and Bengals.

Giants went mental in free agency.
Rams made a huge move to go top pick.
Redskins signing Norman and tagging Cousins.
Jags made big moves in FA too.

Rams need to fire Jeff Fisher.

Because no matter what they do...this is what they have leading them -

1. His average season Win-Loss percentage is .509
2. He’s had five .500 (8-8) seasons
3. He’s had seven or eight wins in 10 of his 20 full seasons as an NFL head coach.
4. He’s 5-6 in his 11 playoff games
5. His median career record is 8-8

You kind of explained why the move is bad.

They don't have the wide receivers and they don't have a pass oriented game, so why would you waste 6 first 3 rounds picks for a role of game manager? If the Rams were still named St Louis Rams, that trade would have never happened.

Best paid corner in the league right now?

Vegas odds seem to be a little bit distorted.

I don't know how we're second in line considering we have a completely porous OL and have lost a few players since last year in defence.

Re: Fisher https://t.co/Y6qUjGQBJT - handy graph.

Ugh. The last meeting was ugly.

Seems Carolina seem confident they have enough depth in the corner position to let Norman walk. I'd be confident too, they have been excellent in finding lower round and UDFA talent.

Hardly.

If Case Keenum is at quarterback and I'm a defensive coordinator, I stack the box. It's not quite going to be that simple now.

And maybe you're right re: St Louis. Nonetheless, they aren't anymore. And it'd be naive to think decisions are only made for footballing reasons.

Notwithstanding that, I think it was a good trade. They gave up the earth and they've broadly gambled that they will a) keep their young talent at other positions and b) be able to make their drafted QB a franchise player, but maybe it'll be one worth taking. Guess only time will tell.

I just realised it starts Thursday not Friday. At 1am. I'll give it a miss.

Thanks anyway though.

First round is good, I will definitely stay up for the first 10 picks. At least at this stage it isn't very clear who will take who, at least compared to last year where I think 99% of people knew who'd be taken generally.

What fecking Bullshit is this? Dickheaded dumb fecking judge.

I found Anderson's Cat.

What I love about this thread is a majority of the time its good sensible grown-up football talk and no fan-boy shit like there is in the football forums. You may have spoiled the one thread I still like on these boards.

Goodell is an attention seeking whore. feck him.
