Verdict just means commission had the right to impose the punishment, not that the reason the punishment was given is true.
In my opinion (and it is purely speculation) what I think probably happened is Brady obviously asks for the pigskin with the lowest possible pressure and potentially the demands he makes therefore indirectly put pressure on the guys to maybe go overboard. I don't think he would have explicitly been involved in making them below the minimum. Obviously someone else may believe differently.
Also the evidence is flimsy. People mention the destruction of the phone, but per the papers it was also noted that this was in line with Brady's usually practice and on time - although counter point would be that logically, Brady should have kept it on this occasion.
Also the fact that the pressure may not have actually been below the minimum. The readings were all within the error margins for the tool used. To me, I don't therefore see how there can be a case in the first place - you don't get a speeding ticket if you're clocked at 32 in a 30 due to the margin of error in the camera.
Anyway it is what it is, and ultimately Pats fans and everyone else will probably see different sides of the coin!
On the Dolphins story, indeed Gase must be very upset. He has two enigmas there, it could either end up brilliantly well or catastrophically bad.
Also definitely think Broncos should make a trade for Bradford. Short contract so gives them a year to think about the plan, and there is upside to him yet to potentially be found. Hoyer would be a shambolic idea. And Sanchez as QB1 would also be a shambolic idea. Broncos have a solid team and good depth - they could make a play for the number one pick next year if they believe the right QB is available. Bradford will be the best stop gap for now. The problem is that by the time it reaches the Broncos pick, Goff Wentz Lynch and Cook could potentially be off the board - and maybe even Hackenburg.
