Can't wait for the season to get going!

Who would you pick as your early MVP favourite? Personally, I hope Cam Newton is going to take it for the second straight year, but I doubt it happens. I think Russell Wilson is a safe bet - especially if he hits the ground running. He was exceptional during the last half of last season. Brady is my dark horse. I know he's suspended for the first four games, but if he gets back and gets 8-9 wins in the last 12 games, he would be a good bet.
Didn't even mention the best player in league, but you're right there's lots of potential candidates.

Im surprised no one has picked up James Jones yet. He is a classy WR. Still very very effective. And Lions have signed Anquan Boldin from the 49ers.
Jones is set to sign with the Chargers according to nfl.com :)

Perhaps Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones recently best summed up the Foles dilemma. Early in training camp – before exhibition games and injuries – teams generally like to see what they already have.

Dallas has Kellen Moore, Jameill Showers and Dak Prescott in camp behind 36-year-old starter Tony Romo, who missed 12 games with two separate broken collar bones.

Still, Jones said of bringing in Foles, who is a high school legend in Austin, Texas, “We wouldn’t be able to give him any snaps. We’ve got four that are going to get snaps.”

--- Kinda of bizarre considering Foles would (should) be immediately ahead of three of those players. Moore has supposedly broken his ankle today so perhaps Foles could be headed to Dallas soon enough.

Probably biding his time until a starter goes down in preseason or a club realizes it has a collection of garbage on its roster (Cleveland, Buffalo).

I wouldnt mind the Broncos dropping Sanchez like a hot tamale and picking Foles up. Him and Lynch are good enough in my opinion. Its going to be a rude awakening for the Broncos with Sanchez.

Just finished watching all or nothing, great show. I personally still prefer hard knocks but this ain't far behind, and hard knocks is probably one of the best sports shows there is.

I'm a Broncos fan, but I live about 10 minutes from where the Panthers have their training camp and about an hour from Charlotte, so they dominate the NFL related news around here.

I like the last part, do you know anything about their defensive backs situation, from the outside it looks a little bit light for a potential champion?

I knew there was a reason I kinda liked you.

They're very young, which is a big change from last year where there were pretty experienced, especially with Roman Harper at safety. They've drafted 3 cornerbacks this year to help shore that up, but with rookies, that's always a hit or miss thing.

Reports from training camp though are that the young guys are looking good. I'm headed to see some practice in a couple days to see if I can pick up on any individual drills they have the linebackers doing, but I'll keep an eye on the secondary too to see how they do myself.

Thanks. Attending practices, I envy you.:D

Lol it's pretty cool. They're free to attend for the public.

I get free tickets to college games too and get to go to their practices sometimes if I have the time to make it. Those are the most fun. More fast paced and more contact than an average NFL practice.

:D

Grew up a Broncos fan cause of my dad. John Elway was my hero throughout the 1990s.
My shopping list for this year's trip to Denver contains a V.Miller jersey but also an Elway throwback.

Depending on the price I may have to pussy out and go for a t-shirt rather than a proper jersey for Elway, the genuine throwbacks are a bit pricey.

Yeah the official NFL stuff can get pricey!

How far are you throwing back? 98/99 Elway or Orange Crush style colors?

Feck sake I was staying up for that. Thanks for the update.

Christ, the President of the PFHOF is a fecking giant. I've never seen him before, David Baker is his name.

The NFL Hall of Fame voting is a bit weird in that they are supposed to vote in at least 4 players per year, but no more than 8. This has actually led to somewhat of a backlog in players getting voted in. It also is supposedly a highly political process with cliques within the voters deciding that for whatever reason Player X must be made to wait, vote trading (you vote for my guy, I'll vote for yours), egos of the press members of the voting committee getting in the way, even supposedly many of the press voters refusing to vote for former players/coaches just on the basis of not liking the person for some perceived or real former slight.

Ninkovich tore his triceps. Huge blow. Been a very important player these last couple of years. Injury curse already striking :(

Yes. "Whatever reason" indeed.

Anyone catch the first episode of Hard Knocks?

I'd totally forgotten about it, will hopefully be able to watch it tonight.

Dolphins won last night but it was pretty grim. LG Dallas Thomas continued his one man crusade to end Tannehill's career.

FFS Peyton

Cannot wait for NFL & RedZone to come back. Sunday nights will be sorted for Autumn/Winter
