I thought I had walked into a terrorism scene when I was checking into my hotel in Houston. Bomb sniffing dogs, military type guys in camo, a cavalry of police bikes and SUVs. It had to be something really really bad unless the President was in town...

Then I realized the Falcons were staying there.

If you get the chance, trip a few of their WRs up please

Oh I am excited. I think it will be an offensive masterclass.

 Brilliant.

Are you in Houston for the game or just a coincidence on timing? It'd be amazing if you had tickets to the Superbowl.

Make them a nice breakfast and leave it outside their door.

Anyone else think Pedro from Chelsea is a Spanish Philip Rivers?

Just a coincidence. I did find the lounge where their after party will be, but I'll be on the other side of Texas by then unfortunately.

They look similar!
Pedro with more Spanish features, Rivers more American looking. It came to me whilst watching the game last night.

Amazing!

Was thinking of that, but don't want to go through the bother of making them myself, and by now any of the decent places that do take out/delivery will have their Super Bowl Sunday orders all in and are not taking anymore (unless you want them really early in the day).

Two pizza places closest to me already have signs up that they are not taking anymore orders for Super Bowl Sunday if the order is wanted between 4PM and 10 PM. They have so many pre-orders they are at capacity already.

I'm on a keto-diet so can't do Pizza this time. Wings, and probably shrimp cocktail it is.

Might be a change, wife wants wings. I told her she has to decide by tonight.

Have to check the weather to see if it will be okay to fire up the smoker in the wee hours of Sunday morning to smoke the pork. Hmmmmm.......I could smoke the chicken wings also.

Might do something I havent done in years, have KFC :nervous:
But on top of that, wings, and more wings.
Probably some donuts too.
And cider.

Not sure how it happened, we were trying to get tickets for one game
Ended up getting seasons tickets for all four haha

Post some Super Bowl memories.

First one you were aware of. First you remember watching. Best moments. Worst Moments. Odd memories.

First I was aware of was Super Bowl VI, Dallas v Miami. Can't remember the game much, but remember it is where I became a Miami Dolphin fan.

First I remember watching is the next one VII Miami v Washington. Go Dolphins.

Memorable Moments bad and good. Lynn Swann's catch in Super Bowl X. The 49ers goal line stand in Super Bowl XVI. Jackie Smith's drop in Super Bowl XIII. The Tackle in Super Bowl XXXIV, stopping the Titans just short of a game winning TD. Da Bears. The Game Winning Drive by Joe Montana and the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIII. Tyree's catch in Super Bowl XLII. The Game wining drive in Super Bowl XXXVI, especially after John Madden (a former Super Bowl winning coach turned announcer) had suggested that it would be smarter for the Patriots to just run out the clock and go to overtime. The Saints onside kick to start the 2nd half of Super Bowl XLIV.

Just to name a few.

First one I rememberis Superbowl 43
Just looked it up, Steelers v Cardinals - couldn't have told you that, but I know think it is the Randle El trick play one??

But i remember it vividly for the best half time show of recent years - Bruce Springsteen - Although Katy Perry was good (and not just for left shark)

Just looking, can remember Prince's as well (41)

And i had to google, randle el was 40 - so that is my first sporting one which i can definitely say I watched, but my first real memory is Bruce hahaha

In fact, maybe one of the Patriots wins before that when I was at uni, in either 04 or 05

EDIT
Added Katy Perry line

So what is on everyone's Super Bowl menu?

Thinking of going with pulled pork.

We're a few guys getting together every year for the Super Bowl, and everyone has to bring some home made food to the table.

The usual suspects will show up:

Sriracha/honey hot wings
Mozzarella and jalapeno dipping sauce
Cheesy oven baked nachos with minced meat, refried beans and guac
Sliders with caramelized onion and cheddar
Cheese, bacon and leek filled potato skins

+ hopefully someone brings something extra

Dessert is usually Ben & Jerrys half baked and leftovers.

Sam Adams is my drug of choice everytime the Pats are in a Super Bowl, and this year is no different. Will probably have some whiskey and potent mary jane as well.

Work at 8am the morning after will be great (the game starts at 12.30 am here in Norway).

Probably the WORST play in Super Bowl history. Garo Yepremian.

Poor Leon Lett a very good player that most will know for two blunders.

The actual worst part of that play was the love it got from ESPN, I think it even go nominated for an ESPY as play of the year (at the time Len Berman loved the Bills and anything they did) because Don Beebe ran so hard and did not give up.
