That was terrible play calling from Steelers. Good job by the NE defence.

Offense has done well & D finished with a strong stand but Steelers offense looks good too. Will be a tough second half.

Unfortunately have an early start tomorrow so won't be able to stay up any longer. Go Pats!!

Did he pick up the flag and throw it again?

Yeah, to get the officials eye on it.

Was weird though cos Brady clearly lost it. Then they said Pittsburgh recovered it, but gave it to Patriots. And video shows nothing regarding a clear recovery

Wow, that should be the win for Patriots, even though theres a whole quarter left.

That's probably game over already. They won't surrender an 18-point lead in less than 18 minutes.

Some horrible play calling from the Steelers tonight. You don't perpetually run on first down at this point.

Going to be interesting to see how Bellichick goes about playing Falcons. Sure, he can try and take away Julio Jones. But with Gabriel and Sanu they have other real threats

Should be a great superbowl if this outcome holds

EDIT
That should do it, great field position. Should be at minimum a 3 possession game

So, Falcons vs Patriots.

Don't dare to bet against Brady but the Falcons have looked unstoppable in the playoffs. Will be a good game.

A QB playing hard, but being let down by his receivers dropping catches, and a non existent defence.
Could apply to Rodgers or Big Ben.

Patriots are playing very well - immaculately prepared as most Bellichek teams are. Steelers are being outfoxed on play calling. Antonio Brown has been completely blanketed and with Bell out of the game, the running game should've been abandoned a long time ago.

Patiots vs Falcons.

Lets hope for the match we expected from at least one of todays games.

Good chance to be honest. Brady should be able to beat that atlanta secondary to keep up with the Falcons to a reasonable extent, and our defence is good enough to not give up a touch down each drive. Those two things combined mean on paper, it should be close.

Unless the Falcons crumble under the pressure I just am finding it hard to envisage us winning.

Believe that's the third season now that a key player has got injured for us in the playoffs.

Happy though as didn't feel we were where we needed to be to win it this year. Need more time to improve defensively with some of the young guys. Hopefully Bryant is back next season too.

Going to be unbearable if the Falcons don't pull it off.

Woo go Pats!! Need to watch the 2nd half highlights.

I honestly don't think the injury made much difference

He wasn't having much joy

The Super Bowl will be the first time this season Goodell has gone to a Pats game I think?!

Aside from wanting the Pats to win as a fan, I would love it if we won just to see that obnoxious twat hand he trophy to Brady.

Tough to say, he went off in the first quarter. He's been comfortably our best player this season. Maybe they could have shut him out but we'll never know, a guy like Bell can make a massive difference. Pats have arguably had two breaks in the playoffs now as the Raiders also lost their star player which you could argue ended their season (they weren't the same without Carr, personally think they'd have beaten the Texans with him and gone on to play the Patriots, but in fairness that's all if's and but's so maybe me being harsh).

We aren't good enough yet. Ben's been inconsistent at times this season. We have a few young guys on the defensive side that need more time to learn, improve and mature. Nobody is convincing me that the likes of Coates are consistent players which is why it's crucial to get Bryant back next season to potentially have another big WR threat. Jesse James is still learning and improving. I'm a bit gutted we lost (and to the Patriots of all teams) but I think this team can become even better going forward and hopefully take that next step up. We've got to catch a break at some point too with the injuries. Can't remember if it's 3 or 4 seasons in a row that one of Ben, Brown or Bell has got injured going into or in the key playoff game.

Ah every week, people find a new reason to deem the Patriots just a "lucky" team. Before it was because Brady had not faced a high quality quarterback this year. Now it's because Bell got injured or because Carr got injured. Doesn't particularly bother me, but I do find it funny that people genuinely come up with these reasons as if they are purely impartial with no bias whatsoever.

Point out where anybody has said they're lucky, please, feel free to. It's not every week that people are doing it. If anybody dares to say ANYTHING that isn't positive in favour of the Patriots they get shot down and then in comes the mentality of 'Patriots vs. the world'.

I said they got a break in two teams losing their star players, not that they're some lucky team. It's not a shot at the Patriots because I think they'd still had likely won both games (I'd have loved to have seen the Raiders against the Pats though).

Maybe. But all that would have done was allow you to keep up with the scoring a bit better

None of the above changes the fact that you didn't really get near Brady and he was able to pick of your zone defence at will.

With or without Bell, he'd have still put up huge numbers on your defence
