Ffs thought he was in!
That looks in to me
And it's challenged

Weirdest thing is, this is him at his fastest, he spent the off season the other year working on speed. No way that's in, and I can't remember watching someone run so slow. How the feck did they let him get so far?
It can only be done immedaitely after the QB gets the ball I think. If he takes a step in any direction or looks up then it'd be intentional grounding.Hold on. Why isn't a spike intentional grounding?
I think I heard them say once that spiking the ball is permitted by the intentional grounding rules if the QB does it immediately after the snap or something like that. Could be wrong though, got no clue either.Hold on. Why isn't a spike intentional grounding?
what I don't get is why players have to substitute... are there specific rules on it?

Sorry, don't understand what you mean? It's something that's always been done in the 'spirit' of the law, same as kneeling is counted as down even though they haven't been touched down by an opponent.
If you're not down by contact, it doesn't matter if your knee touched the ground, you can just get up and gain extra yards. You need to be touched to be considered down. A QB doesn't go down by contant if he takes a knee but it still counts as a new down - again an exception on the rule like the spiking one.Sorry, don't understand what you mean?
