Cowboys manage to steal defeat from the jaws of victory (again). Poor Garrett - he's over-coaching because of Jerry's overbearing presence. I can't imagine Cowher or Fisher taking this job. I could see dumbass Jerry hiring Norv after he gets fired. Or Sporano.

Sigh.

Vikings too. Facemask should have been called though.

feck Aaron Rodgers.

Blaine Gabberts courage and awareness in the pocket is possibly the worst I have seen since David Carr in Houston.

David Carr had no offensive line protection in Houston, sacked 76 times his rookie season, the most ever. I'd imagine you would have been quite scared in that pocket as well. Practically every QB would have been running (or trying to) for his life in that setup.

He wasn't as terrible a QB as some seem to imagine. His statistics in Houston were actually pretty decent, especially playing for a shit club. Sacked 68 times in 2005, and then completed 69% of his passes in 2006. He may have endured greater success with a better club in his early years.

Nah I'm a tough one, the Steve McNair of armchair QB's. The problems Houston had with protecting him and surrounding him with talent are well documented and no doubt partly led to his struggles. Regardless, what I am alluding to is seeing shadows due to past experiences/bad plays and more importantly protecting the ball. I was not commenting on whether he was a terrible QB or not, maybe the problem was mental toughness.

Gabbert was horrible in that game the other night, he was ducking and bailing from the pocket even when the rushers were getting picked up. He had opportunities to throw the ball away instead of taking a sack and when he did take it, failed to protect the ball. For some reason the Jaguars have had a few prime time games recently and it has been the same problem every game. I hope to see him turn it around next year and that he does not end up ruined as many said happened to Carr in his rookie season. He could do with some legitimate weapons on the outside too by the looks of it.

Well some suprise scores so far: GB losing, Giants losing & Colts not getting hammered (only a FG down)! I expect the GB & Colts results to sort themselves out in the second half.

Looking forward to Tebow vs. Brady later. If Tebow throws for more than 250 yards today then I believe this Pats defense will prove themselves to be the worst defense of all time. I hope the Gronk spikes that ball down Tebow's throat .

Hasselback is useless, they should be playing the rookie instead. Colts will win :(

Chiefs TD!! Packers on the brink now...

Edit: They've angered Rodgers, GB TD. Down 5pts at the 2 min warning with 3 TOs. Onside kick coming up...

Packers pursuit of perfection is over. Chiefs win. Maybe it's better for GB to lose, stops all the 19-0 hype.

Colts win as well. No 0-16.

Time for Tebowmania.

Edit: Pats defense is fecking useless. feck you Tebow you cnut :mad:It's all up to Brady to put up enough points.

That's a bit over the top and I could see him throwing for that yardage. What's important is how it happens as the game progresses and in what context. If he throws for 200 yards in the fourth quarter against a prevent defense and big deficit I don't care.

I don't care if he gets it in a blowout win for the Pats, it's if he does it in the first 2.5 quarters of the game then that is concerning.

Brady TD!!!!!!!! feck you Tebow*.

* I apologise if I'm offending any Tebow fans, I honestly don't know why I hate him so much

Edit: they're back in front. Really enjoyable game so far, essentially pass v run and they're running riot right now.

They are getting gashed and have had problems setting the edge. I would prefer it if Tebow was throwing it all over the field. The aim is usually to take away what the other team does well.

now they are taking the piss, no respect for the Pats D at all. And they don't deserve any.

Carter getting injured is the last thing we need.

Edit: nice respect from Tebow for Carter.

Thank God we have restricted them to a FG. Belichick needs to do something, 220+ yards conceded in 1 and a bit quarters.

Pats defense does something at last. Turnover, great field position - time for Brady to get to work again...

Edit: Why not challenge it? Looked a TD to me

Edit 2: Pats defense forces another turnover, well done!

Great half of football, Denver's offense has been brilliant and but for the turnovers they'd be winning. Brady's quietly getting on with his job, it really is about getting as many points as you can because the Pats defense will give up a lot of points despite having a solid 2nd quarter.

Everyone rightly talks about the Gronk being a great TE but I rate Hernandez as highly, he might not be as big but he can be as effective with his routes and pace. Hopefully Carter's injury is not serious.

The main reason being he is an all round tight end, Hernandez is a slot WR and an average blocker at best. Gronk also has much more consistent hands and toughness. They are a great tandem though.

I'm just posting to commend your username. Nice one.

18 pt game approaching the 4th quarter, lets see if Tebow can do it with a bigger deficit...

Edit: huge hit on Brady, thankfully he's ok.

Fair play to Tebow he is an exciting player. Some good throws that drive and maybe the comeback is on :nervous:

Edit: Tebow sacked for a 29 yard loss

Excellent win for the Pats & that clinches the AFC East. Terrible start and the defense gave up a lot of yards but credit to them for creating the turnovers and Brady punished the Broncos. Hernandez was awesome.

I wonder if Elway & the Bronco's are sold on Tebow being their QB next year? He's definitely an exciting player and he can throw the ball if they force him to throw it but he just doesn't seem like a NFL QB.

I can't wait to hear all the excuses given on the Tebow, err Broncos loss. He gets most of the credit for the wins but his supporters will cry about the defense, yadda yadda, waaaa. This is what will occur more often than not when they play a team with a dynamic offense.

The fecking Raiders fecked up a great chance. Go figure. Goddammit. I really fecking hate this Tebow mania shit.

yup i couldn't believe it. ugh!! nobody's perfect. speaking of perfect...the Packers' winning streak had to end sometime (19). the offense was terrible. the defense played their usual bend-don't-break style and only allowed 19 points. to think our O could only manage 14 is unfathomable. 13-1 with the bears coming to town.

great results from a Patriots POV today. Can't help but think it's going to lead to another #1 seed and exit in their first match.
