Nfl 2010-2011

Brandon Spikes suspended for the rest of the regular season for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Why can't they just play the Vikings home game at the Gophers stadium instead of moving it to Detroit or New Orleans (as mentioned by various networks as a possible relocation)?

All the fans will surely get a refund if the game is relocated. And just how many fans does the NFL expect to attend at a relocated venue on such short notice, including the local population as most NFL fans don't travel?

I was reading something recently about GB’s coaches wanting him to slide more.

He had the first down but he kept going and got his head slammed on the turf.

Just heard that the Giants didn't bring any cold weather gear hence the relocation to a dome stadium. Waaa. The cold gear could be flown out today and arrive in plenty time for a Monday or Tuesday game. Pussies. If the old Vikings could play outdoors in the 60s and 70s, and the Giants do currently, then there's no reason to move this game away from the home fans. I could care less if it's -5 or whatever - the Cowboys/Packers managed in the 60s, as did the Chargers/Bengals in the 80s.

Also, someone explain why a stadium has a feckin' balloon roof? You'd think the local government would have considered the potential of 20 inches of snow possibly breaking this roof when it was built. Perhaps it was cheaper than an actual steel enforced roof or retractable roof. Cheapskate Minnesotans.

I dont see why they just dont play at the Metrodome sans roof

Another grinding win by my Falcons, more points spread out though

Anyone see the end of the Redskins game? hahaha

Yeah

Also the 2-point conversion for Tampa was helped by the Redskins as the Redskin defender effectively pushed Tampa's QB into the end-zone.

Officials cited the time it would have taken to clear the field as well as the fact TCF Bank Stadium had already been winterized as the primary reasons Ford Field was chosen as the replacement venue.

The argument has been ongoing since 2005... The Twins were smart and claused out.

Brady looking good in the conditions

He’s always been pretty consistent in weather games, does not have much problems with his accuracy etc. It’s probably due more to his mechanics and throwing motion rather than sheer arm strength. McCourty just made another huge play, he is catching up to Suh.

Chargers playing very well against the Chiefs, could be 21-0 up but they're reviewing it at the moment.

Edit: TD stands, a great catch by Floyd but looked like the ball hit the ground.

Great first-half for the Pats, finished it with another TD - 33-0.

Leigh Bodden is out for the season, that secondary is going to be very up and down and get lit up at times this season. The talent is there but not the experience or leadership – Brandon Meriweather is one of the most overrated players in the league in my opinion, he needs to step up. I don’t see the Patriots being a serious contender this year after this news and the Warren injury, unless there is remarkably consistent play from all the young players in December onwards. Brady will likely still keep them in the 9-11 win range during the regular season though and the team will go as far as he takes them.

Maybe its time for me to re-think this and admit I was wrong, yet again. The Ravens are the only team that truly scare me coming into NE in the playoffs at this point, though other teams are capable of travelling there and winning. If the young players hold up down the stretch, they may be able to make a run. I did not think it was possible for Brady to get better but he has been spectacular at times this season and is in MVP form. He has got away with a few deflected balls today though, he might actually throw a bloody pick in this weather.

Bloody hell, just saw the score. Your division is insane.

I'm not going to act like we actually deserve a playoff spot against one of the 10-6 teams that will inevitably miss out, but I think from our games against New Orleans and Atlanta, you can see that we won't be complete pushovers if we do make it. If the defense can get its act together and Alex Smith can stop making mistakes (story of the last 6 years, really), this team can do some serious damage.

feck's sake. Just gave up a KO return for a touchdown. 40-14 now.

Patriots win, Brady brilliant again. Jets losing at the moment, but they have the ball at the 2-minute warning.

Btw, I think this is the first time Sky Sports are showing coverage from 'the Redzone' and it is quite good. They showed every TD of the day and when their main coverage ends, they switch over to the RedZone and show whatever game is on their. I hope this is a permanent thing, it works well!

Jets lose, wonder if Rex will bury Holmes this week, after he dropped the ball in the endzone.

Sanchez has really struggled the pass few weeks, 16-41 today.

Edit: Patriots clinch a playoff spot with the win. Great effort from a young team with quite a few players on IR, but Brady keeps doing what he does best. Superbowl here we come... :D

Comical today by the teams I hate most other than NO... the Redskins, the Jets, and the Packers hahaha

Eagles start with a TD on their opening drive, Vick with the run into the endzone. First play of the game was a 60 yard play-action pass by Vick.

Man, if Brady wasn't having such a godly season, Vick would be having a MVP season, but alas, he's having a runner up one this year.

Vicktorious !!! Win against the Giants next week would mean a play off spot.

Thought at the beginning of the season that anything above a .500 record for the Eagles was a bonus with a young team and a weak OL. I doubt anyone would have imagined that Vick would have such an impact.

haha the celebration was class. loved it

Loved it did ya....in that case
