Nfl 2010-2011

feck, Steelers might as well pack their bags and go home.

But on the other hand, why does the Ravens keep committing fouls in this game? Like every single play, they get flagged for something.

i don't get that play call to go for a 4th and 2 when they were within FG range for the tie

Cundiff obviously wasn't confident. Chris Collinsworth pointed out that what would have normally been a 50-ish yard attempt would really be a 55 yard attempt to counter the swirling wind at that end of the stadium.

But my goodness that was an enjoyable game of football for a low scoring affair. Great hustle by Big Ben to avoid the sack and Redmond to get in the endzone on the game winning touchdown. Brilliant game.

point

were they playing at Pittsburg? that stadium really is windy

3rd coach gone this season, feel bad for him as he's a young coach who started brilliantly but it's been downhill since.

Anyway, almost time for the biggest regular season game this season. Pats to win 34-31.

It's at a good time of year though, games in early December are extremely important for two divisional rivals vying for the division. I could see NE blowing them out maybe 5% chance

Patriots up 3-0, a couple of nice runs in that possession, Branch should've made that catch.

Jets went no huddle a few times that possession, and they challenge the spot of the ball. Rex Ryan comes across as a fat arrogant fecker

Challenge fails, idiot. And they decide to go for it anyway...

They get the first down, but what was the point of challenging it if they were going for it anyway?

LT running like the good old days

Great move by Brady and he launched pass that to Welker.

As blatant a pass interference as you will ever get, 1st & goal for the Pats.

TD BenJarvus Jeremy Green-Ellis. Pats lead 10-0

3 and out for the Jets and an awful punt (13 yards). Great field-position for Brady & the Pats

TD Branch. Went for it on 4th down and Branch broke away from the tackle to run it home, perfect start for the Pats, but they also started the first game against the Jets well. A long way to go, but 17-0 atm...

Jets get on the board with a FG, 17-3

Big gain Danny Woodhead. He really has been some player for the Pats this season.

TD Patriots, looked a tight one though

:lol::lol: Fat feck Rex Ryan should've challenged that, looked like it would have got overturned on the review but because they burnt their first challenge on a stupid review, they don't challenge this time.

Pats up 24-3, hopefully when I wake-up in the morning Pats won't have thrown away this lead. So far so good...

It looks cold and lonely in here Rooney. If they lose from here I may throw up.

I would like to see them collapse the pocket a bit more, they are missing Wright and Pryor.

Wow. Well this is putting them and their 85 Bears defense in its place, 12 is hungry and on fire.

45-3

haha...

Jets were at no stage this season as good as their record suggested, lots of last second wins, and they got the butt kicking they deserved tonight.

What a win! The offense and defense were exceptional and Brady was Brady. Pats destiny is in their own hands.

I agree with BTV that the Jets have been lucky the past 3 weeks winnings games in OT and with last second plays, whereas Brady and the Patriots have looked very good since the Browns debacle.

Yep, Brady was furious after the Browns game and has been a man possessed since.

The speed of McCourty’s development and improvement has been the biggest surprise and was needed with the injury to Bodden etc. I usually take comments about players work ethic and film study habits with a pinch of salt but this kid seems to have really bought in. His ability to look back for the ball when in coverage and attack it has got better and better.

That said, he’s still a rookie and will make mistakes so its probably best not to get him sized up for a yellow jacket just yet. He’s getting close to the silly, ill advised nickname stage though. McInterception? McCourty Island?

That was a bitchslapping and even though I'm not a Patriots fan by any remote sense, I enjoyed that if nothing more than to shut up NY fans, Coach Ryan, etc.

I'm calling the Jets a fraud. Eight wins against clubs with .500 or losing records and only one against a winning club (NE in week 2). Complete fraud feasting on the weaklings.

The signature mark on his CV is trading three picks to move up into the first round to draft Tim Tebow, this was eventually going to happen.

Hopefully, the Broncos don't end up with Cowher, Fisher or Fox. Either of those three would be a great fit. I'm not so concerned about Gruden if he were to go there. He's massively overrated.

I want Cowher badly, he could turn around all the shit McDaniels fecked up in less time than it took McDaniels to feck it all up

From ESPN Insider

Candidates for the Broncos job
Darrell Bevell -- Vikings offensie coordinator could be nice consolation prize if Frazier's unavailable Brian Billick -- Former Super Bowl-winning head coach is the type of offensive-minded coach Bowlen prefers Troy Calhoun -- Air Force coach well-respected in the NFL, known as a high-character coach; however, he released a statement saying he's not interested Bill Cowher -- The Denver opening could be the one that finally lures him back to the sideline John Fox -- He should be free of Carolina soon Leslie Frazier -- Vikings' interim coach finished second to McDaniels two years ago Jason Garrett -- In the unlikely event Jerry Jones lets him go, Broncos will come calling Jon Gruden -- Current Monday Night Football analyst is in the mix Jim Harbaugh -- No college coach's stock is higher right now Gary Kubiak -- On the hot seat in Houston, and Denver could be very interested if the Texans let him go Mike Leach -- Because his name seems to come up with every opening ... Ron Rivera -- San Diego defensive

Following the midseason firing of Josh McDaniels Monday night, the focus has already shifted to the team's next choice as head coach.

There are two early leaders in the clubhouse: Air Force coach Troy Calhoun and Minnesota Vikings interim head coach Leslie Frazier. The Denver Post reports that both could be on the team's radar, as does ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Landing either one of them could be tricky, however. Frazier could very well stick with the Vikings as a full-time head coach following the season, and Calhoun has shown an unwillingness to leave Air Force for higher-profile college jobs in the past (this year's opening at Colorado is one example). He also may not look forward to the challenge of going from managing service academy football players to having to handle some of the egos he'd encounter in the NFL.

As we wrote Monday, Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak is looking like he's on the hot seat, and he's a potential candidate as well if he's let go. Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher is another option being discussed, and big names like Carolina Panthers coach John Fox and Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh could also be in the mix.

ESPN's John Clayton writes that owner Pat Bowlen may try to avoid paying a huge salary to his next coach, as he'll be paying both McDaniels and Mike Shanahan not to coach for him. Clayton writes that some options could include former Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick, Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera, former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach and Dallas Cowboys interim coach Jason Garrett (although chances are he'll be brought on by Jerry Jones full-time).

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com writes that the fact that Jon Gruden and McDaniels share an agent (Bob LaMonte) could potentially make Chucky's landing in Denver less likely, but that it doesn't rule him out as a candidate altogether.

ESPN's Adam Schefter checks in with his take on the upcoming coaching search, which should include Calhoun and Frazier (see below).
