Nfl 2010-2011

Niners finally fire their offensive Co-ordinatior. Now all we need is a new Qb and a new head coach and we are sorted.

Well tight ends rarely run the ball, usually catch it, so not that surprising to me.

You must not watch much football

 I realised I made a mistake when making my original post. I thought it meant the TE ran 13 yards after making the catch (Brady throws it to Hernandez and he runs for 13 yards after that) That's why I was suprised/shocked. My semi-retardedness has led to this debate, sorry

Btw, I'm not too suprised Heranandez made such a gain. I've only seen him once, but he does have a bit of acceleration and makes nice cuts to avoid defenders. Still it is suprising a TE was used as a RB/FB.

I love Godgers, but yeah BEARS BABY 3-0.

Weren't supposed to come close to Dallas or Green Bay, yet we have wins over both, all that matters, 3-0 man, especially considering how bad they looked against the Lions, that's insane. Good on them rebounding from that game.

I cant fecking believe the Bears are 3-0 at this point, I reckon they could fall back to Earth at some point but I still think that they will have a better record than last season.

The remainder of the Bears' schedule for the first half of the season is as easy as you can get. Giants, Panthers, Seahawks, Redskins and Bills. 8-0 is a distinct possibility. After that it gets quite a bit harder though, but still.

They won't go 8-0, Infact I can see them slipping up against the currently hapless Giants, if not my Redskins will take care of business

Leaving aside the penalties and that, where a Bears fan can really take heart in the first three games has been their defense against the run. Only 63 yards on the ground allowed to Green Bay, despite us playing for the pass pretty much all the time. Overall, the Bears are allowing just a smidge more than 2 yards per carry, and that's big, since there aren't many teams in the league that are less dependent on their running game than the Packers.

The Bears will feck up against the Giants. That's the way this NFL season is going so far.

I still say the Packers should have allowed Chicago to score a TD with 1:40 remaining and then had a good minute thirty to score. Much better than holding out hope one of the best kickers scuffs a chip shot inside 30 yards and leaving your offense no chance to get on the field.

Personally, I would love for the NFL to eliminate field goals inside the ten yard line and thus force teams to score a touchdown or nothing.

By the same token, I can't believe the Bears risked a run on 3rd down with ~40-50 seconds left rather than just take a knee. Even ignoring the possibility of a fumble, you have to assume Gould makes that kick, so which situation would you rather have?

A) Three points up with the Packers having only one play or kick return to do anything
B) Seven points up with the Packers having 40 seconds on the clock to try and make something happen.

Yeah well when most Chicago fans had it down as like another Cutlerlol year and something like 4-12 for the season. Going in against the Giants as the favourites and to go 4-0 is ridiculous.

The offense is the strength of the Packers so I'd rather have time for Rodgers to move the ball and take my chances that way. I'd much rather lose by a touchdown but having had a good minute or more to tie than losing on a last second field goal.

Good call on the Bears taking that chance. I guess they assumed the RB wouldn't fumble and would either score or take more time off the clock. It was a win-win for Chicago that close to the goal line.

Mike Martz is the difference, and the defense looks much better this year (helps having Ulracher and others fit to play).

Yeah I think the defense is much improved and Martz will get the best out of Cutler like Shannahan did, although it seems Cutler is still going to throw his fair share of picks he has been damn lucky so far this year.

Muller, Sid etc - I watched the Bills game again last night because I am sad and wanted to see exactly what went wrong with the defense. Did you see the angle Meriweather took on the C.J Spiller touchdown catch? I mean, what the feck.

Funny enough, I did. I must have rewound it on gamepass about 5 times. I hate inconsistency!!! Hes been much better in areas, but still so, so iffy,

can all of you greenbay followers get on the blower with green bay mgmt and get them to trade for marshawn lynch already? I've picked him up on waivers and my move will look less stupid that way :)

I need to try and refrain from watching the Ravens. Falling in love with 350 pound Tongan men is not natural.

Great drive by Flacco, showed maturity. Nice catch by Ray Lewis on the interception as well.

only 2 fecking late games this week that is crazy

Nice throw by Donovon, Redskins have been impressive so far. Can't say the same about the Eagles defence...
