Nfl 2010-2011

Exactly. The second INT you can't do anything about but the first one, the Walker fumble, and the muffed punt were inexcusable. And don't even get me started on that safety.

I'm proud of the fight but we did not deserve that victory.

On a positive note this might've been the best game of Alex Smith's career.

A loss like that is soul destroying though...you outdo the defending champs in every category, only to come up short in the end, and not so much because they were brilliant, but because you are prone to mistakes takes away self belief.

Alex Smith is not a kid anymore, he and the Niners don't have the luxury of 'moral victories'

There's always an element of luck involved in those turnovers though. Remember that tipped pass that fell back to Brees rather than get picked, or the muffed punt on the Saints return which bounced back into Bush's arms? Both incidents occured for the Niners but with the opposite result.

Well yeah. That's two. You can live with that if those are the only two you make. We made several more and fecked up a routine play. Also don't forget the Gore fumble that did go our way.

Turnovers have an element of luck, yes, but the more you make the more of the final result you put into luck's hands. Good teams don't do that.

Fair points, well made.

So KeyserSoze, you still doubting my Saints call? Still think their D won't force turnovers as much?

Yes Eric’s Collar. I stand by what I said in terms of the probability of following up last year with the same amount of key turnovers – especially in situations like the NFC championship game. Again, this is not exactly a brainstorm or outrageous opinion on my part and I have no problem with being wrong. I’m not going for the most correct anonymous NFL rambler on Redcafe award 2010 here, just trying to discuss football. Feel free to bring it back up in December or January as opposed to two games in.

It's official - Navy vs Notre Dame will take place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on September 1st, 2012.

-Reggie Bush out for 2 months with a broken fibula.
-Michael Vick named the starter for the Eagles PERMANENTLY.
-Braylon Edwards arrested again(drink driving)

Michael Vick has been named the legit starter? I have him and Romo as my QB's in fantasy.

QB POWER RANKINGS
1- PEYTON MANNING
2- DREW BREES
3- JAY GODLER

OH YEAH

Yup, not just for this week, it is a permanent move.

The decision to go with Vick over Kolb is a permanent move and is not injury related, a source told ESPN NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

After a day of film study that included coaches and members of the front office, Reid concluded that due to injury problems on the offensive line and Vick's mobility, Kolb was not the choice for quarterback, especially given Kolb's susceptibility to another concussion if he were constantly under duress.

Back-up center Mike McGlynn had difficulty recognizing the Lions blitz on Sunday and calling the right protections, a source told Paolantonio. As a result, Vick was sacked six times.

In a weird way, Reid is saying, or offensive linemen are shit, and we don't care if Vick gets torn apart :lol::lol:

How does that trade look now, Eagles fans? Ridiculous. Next is the coach. McNabb was the scapegoat for years when it's basically his play that got the Eagles to the playoffs.

I would start Vick this week if it's a 1 QB league. They play at J'ville where as Romo plays at Houston and considering the Cowboys woes on offense, one would think Vick will score more fantasy points.

McNabb is a choke artist and no it wasn't HIM that got them to the Superbowl alone. He took them as far it was going to go with him, that trade was best for all parties.

My Widereceivers suck in fantasy.
anyone got some good predictions for sleepers?

Homer pick here, but Crabtree's been stinking it up this season. He was injured in camp (and was being a pussy). Josh Morgan is the consistent WR on the team and has stepped up to fill the void. He's not the first choice target (Vernon Davis and Frank Gore are) but he's been getting more looks than I'm used to seeing and seems due for a touchdown if the team can stop turning the ball over in the red zone.

Edit: Playing KC this week for what that's worth.

If any of you tards want a stream for Red Zone, PM me. If you don't know what it is, it's basically soccer saturday for football, except they go live to every match so you dont miss anything.

Yeah unless there is a touchdown of 20 yards or more

That was a nice drive by Dallas that could change their season

Brady's stats at the end of the 3rd Quarter: 19-23, 3TDs

Pats lead 31-23, hopefully the defense can do a job and Brady can carry on for the final quarter.

The Saints-Falcons game has been very good, I've been very impressed by the Falcons.

Just as I type, Pats get an interception to start the 4th. Good work

Another Pats interception should be enough for them to win.

Saints-Falcons should be going into OT. Saints down by 3 but in field-goal range.

Called it, bitches. Ultimate 12 yard garbage touchdown reception! Of course he managed to get himself injured on the last-second play, but if you had started him, you wouldn't have needed him for more than a week.

Pats win. Cowboys and Vikings get their first wins of the season, but Favre threw 2 more interceptions.

Saints-Falcons are playing OT.

Saints miss the FG to win the game...

Speaking as a looooooooong time fan of the 9ers, this team is crap. I think they started reading their own pre-season hype. They are seriously looking at an 0-4 or 0-5 start.

Plus I love coach Sing but I'm fully expecting another melt down week from him.

Falcons win in OT. Very good game, great win by the Falcons, Matt Ryan was brilliant.

Dallas manhandled the Texans on both sides of the ball. DeMarcus Ware was everywhere and Romo looked fantastic. Roy E Williams had his best game with the Cowboys. Bye week to rest up for a long stretch but suddenly things look rosy and not so bleak.

I'm not buying that the team is crap yet. But the performances have been nothing short of crap. The gap between talent level and performance level on this team is mind-boggling to me, and I have no idea who to blame at this point.
