Nfl 2010-2011

I saw this on MMQB. He must have been glad to win against his old team:

Philadelphia linebacker Ernie Sims went 1,000 days between wins.

True fact: The last time Sims played in a game for a winning team before Sunday's 35-32 triumph over Detroit was Dec. 23, 2007, when the Lions, his original team, beat Kansas City. Since then, he was 0-1 in 2007, 0-16 in 2008, 0-11 in 2009 and 0-1 this year with the Eagles. That's a personal 29-game losing streak for Sims.

The Jedi Master was always going to school the apprentice.

It's so funny how much shit, Favre and P Manning get on here, they both are top 5 QBs all time, and they are just fecking awesome, you know I think the Favre circus isnt fully of his making its more the media, he isnt parading around in NY in the offseason, he is living with his family in Mississippi...that said I do tire of it, it is good that this is his "last" year :)

Favre one of the 5 best quarterbacks to play the game? That's hilarious. Thanks for that.

It's actually not a bad shout...if you stretch it out to top 7, no pundit would leave him out, NONE.

As it is, a healthy number will have him in the top 5, and if he hadn't sullied his reputation with the Jets and Vikings, nearly everyone would.

Going back, there just aren't that many quarterbacks better than him...

in no particular order

Unitas
Montana
Marino
Elway

and then who?

Sammy Baugh(but the game was so so different back then, I mean look up all the positions he played)
Roger Staubach
Brawshaw
Tarkenton

Favre has better numbers than them...

*I hate him by the way, and continue to wish for an injury to end his career, with him crying like a bitch while he is taken off the field.

Young
Manning

All have more of a shout than Favre as top 5 QBs.

Well the top 4 I have no arguments with...I also listed them.

Doesn't make it to the top 5 for most simply because of how short his NFL career was, 7 seasons for the Niners(despite how awesome those 7 seasons were).

Sat behind Montana for 4 seasons, USFL 2 seasons, Tampa Bay 2 seasons

As for Manning, when all is said and done, he will probably own just about every record there is, so yes he will slide into the top 5, but as of this moment no.

Of course he does - it was a running era pre-1980. The likes of Unitas, Starr, etc., also have lesser numbers. And Favre has been a starter for 18+ years so longevity also gives him added numbers.

I can't believe I am in defending Favre, and here I was wishing for the end of his career, and hating on him

Yes, the length of his career has obviously nicely padded his stats, but that shouldn't be held as a negative.

Much as I hate the guy, he is without doubt one of the top 10 Qbs of all time, and arguably in the top 5 for many.

My point is stats isn't everything and to use stats to make him look better than Staubach and others is totally dismissing NFL history.

Top 10 is a good shout. Top 5 not a fecking chance.

Touchdown!!!

This is already over...

Only 9-0 with 10 minutes to go in the 1st quarter. Look at the positives...at least they didn't make it into double figures yet.

You guys are seeing the immense creativity of our offensive coordinator. Even the trick plays are runs up the middle.

Also look for Alex Smith to roll out to the right and throw the ball out of bounds.

Interception.

This will be a long watch for you jveezy. I feel for you mate...

Saints using all their time-outs in the 1st quarter? Is the wind that much of a factor?

Edit: that was strange, 49ers get the 1st down.

Idiotic move really. The wind in Candlestick does swirl (it's one of the worst designed stadiums ever) but Andy Lee punts here every home game. Also if his last punt was any indication, he would've still blasted it.

That only lasts for the first half. If the offense can't string some drives together they'll get tired.

Well you can't blame them. 3 and out for the offense and the Saints dominating possession is a surefire rout in the 2nd half.

But all joking aside, Saints haven't exactly been great either so far.

9-7 HT

The Niners lead in every category

1st down
total plays
total yards
passing
rushing
possession

unfortunately they also lead in
Penalties and Turnovers(2-0)
