every team has one. on the Packers it was allen barbre (until he was cut on the last day). barron had to hold on that last play. he was beaten and had he not held, romo would have been a nasty spot on the turf.
Do you guys visit the league? I have requested trades so many times and don't get any response, they just expire.
Obviously you don't want any of my players.
I edited my team today.

lol
What team are you? Let me check you out. I want to trade Benson.
Up yours Team Vivs for declining my offer of Benson. Benson is solid player that can help your ball club. He has worked hard all through training camp and you don't want him? To hell with you and the horse that you rode on.
I am pissed off, give me what I need or else...I will aim for the knee of your QB.
Oh and if you have not figured it out, yes this is a treat.
And you even have about 10 running backs in your team. WTH? (Hell) lol
muller, Keyser,
any thoughts on Maroney being shipped off to Denver?
I don’t like it to be honest and think it could be a short term mistake. He had a team friendly contract and they already have a load of picks for next years draft so he could have just played it out and left. I get that the team are trying to adopt a physical running style but Morris and Taylor are almost guaranteed to miss a few games each season, the latter being on the injury report for his toe already. Faulk is my favourite player on the team but you don’t really want to use him too much in that capacity.
Bill commented that he thought it was just time to move on and I suppose The Law Firm simply did more to warrant being activated on game day. He is very active on special teams and has obviously worked hard on his game in the off season. Troy Brown and Fred Taylor seem really high on him as a runner too so we will have to see how it goes. Hopefully, we see more of a burst from him rather than three yards and a cloud of dust.
As I've proved already in this thread, i'm a complete novice when it comes to the NFL, but does it mean that the Pats are gonna try draft a running back in the first round, possibly with their pick from Oakland as most of the committees contracts expire at the end of the season? Possibly Mark Ingram if they can? Or will they have to focus on replacing Moss as a deep threat if he does leave?
Apologies for being a complete tool, but I'm really starting to get into watching it, i just have a very poor knowledge base.
That's not a bad assessment at all. They will have to focus on both. You get seven picks in the draft so they will have to decide which one of those problems to address first. The Patriots are also traditionally very good at trading some of their earliest picks to get extra later picks so I don't think they'll have too many problems filling in their holes.
I would assume Mark Ingram is out of the question since he will probably go early if he has another season like he did last year and the Pats will pick late if they make the playoffs unless they somehow manage to trade up.
I thought the Pats had Oaklands first round pick due to the Richard Seymour trade? I thought they may have used that to get Ingram, as from what I've read in this thread Oakland have a bad schedule meaning that they won't do too well. May be totally wrong though as you'll know more than me

Don't worry Gormless, you will pick it up. None of us in this thread really know what we are talking about anyway, its full of armchair Quarterbacks! I'm not a big believer in drafting running backs high to be honest mate and think you can get greater value lower down the draft. Maybe its a possibility with the Pats 32nd slot in the draft or a second rounder but I would not like to see it with the Raiders pick. If they don't trade down I think a quality five technique is a likely scenario if available, or maybe they get a shot at a pass rusher in the D Ware mould to add to the recent defensive investments. Its difficult to take a guess at the possible names at this point as so much can change by draft time and after months of scrutiny, poking and prodding.
Thanks for the answers everyone. They're really helpful. Hopefully soon enough i'll be making posts worth reading rather than simply posting questions. thanks again
@ Duke
What a mismatch. 10 minutes gone in the first quarter and its 28-0 Alabama. Ingram has 5 attempts, 119 yards and 2 TDs
Pats have claimed Danny Whitehead - jets mini fan favourite RB and WR, who slots into our Maroney slot.
Briefly, I think that we may be light on the ground, but LoMo was just too inconsistent for Bill B, too many fumbles, and not enough moments of brilliance. Hopefully Tsylor can hold out for most of the games.
I'm excited for the season though, not sure how far we will get, but with a quality running back and a maturing but young D- as well as a promising WR and TE core, and that Thomas Brady chap and Wes Welker, I can see a promising future..
oH come on, until last year, he only had one fumble. Maroney was just a bad fit for Pats. The Pats need a bruising back, in the mold of Dillion. Maroney is more like Reggie Bush type. I bet Denver will get the best out of him.
Day of rivalries today. Utd-Liverpool about to start and then I'll end the day watching the Pats-Jets tear each other apart (I'm hoping for a close game with lots of points, but I can't see it happening).
What can you see happening?
