Nfl 2008-2009

Another thing... I get sick of his "thank you Jesus" shit when interviewed.

Like George Carlin said, you never hear them mention Jesus when they lose. You never hear them say "Jesus made me drop the football" or "The good Lord tripped me up behind the line of scrimmage"

Athletes never quite understand the message comes across to some that think deeper... so the athlete is telling the viewer that Jesus or God chose him to give that talent while the other 99.99% of the world were not selected. So Jesus or God play favorites, right? And Jesus or God rooted for Arizona today so he willed them to victory?

The Ravens ain't winning this game.

Pittsburgh/Arizona Super Bowl it is.

I get what you are saying MrMarcello, it would be borderline, he does not exactly have statistical longevity on his side. I was listening to John Clayton, who has a vote himself and others the other day. He was saying that a lot of people he talks to etc think that him and McNabb had a decent chance going into this and whoever moved on would be closer (Do not think McNabb is worthy myself). His accuracy, QB rating, the explosive/historic offenses he had been involved in, the MVP's, the now three Superbowl appearances and even his 'story' would be factored in according to them. Suppose we will have to see how he does in the big game anyway.

If Cunningham isn't a HOF QB, McNabb certainly isn't. Simms was a more efficient QB and he's not in. Unfortunately QBs are measured by wins even though it's not always their fault if they lose games. Imagine if Archie Manning had played for a better team in the 70s or if Marino had played for Dallas or SF. What if you switch Simms with Montana (both drafted in 79). As good as Elway was, and he might be the only player in the history of NFL to virtually will his side to a championship game (see late 80s), he didn't become a HOF "lock" until the Broncos beat Green Bay.

Great challenge by Harbaugh.

Baltimore will need a defensive score and/or special teams score to win. Can't see this offense gaining yards against that defense especially with a rookie QB. Perhaps McGahee can break a big run or two.

Ward is injured. Big for the Ravens that.

If that's truly the rule that's a travishamockery. That should have been a touchdown.

I think the rule was made stricter not too long ago, might have come about after the Tampa/St Louis debacle in the 1999/2000 NFL title game. But when a receiver makes a catch in air he must control the ball when he comes down. Since the ball hits the ground first and comes lose it's not considered a catch. Ground can't cause a fumble but it can cause a non-reception. I can see both sides of the argument.

It wasn't as though he was jumping and came down with it and lost it. Hell it looked like he took 3 steps, dove then the ground knocked loose. TD, 6.

Well hell I must have not been watching then. Thought he caught it in air and lost ball as he came down.

I meant the steps before hand. Looked to me like he had at least 2 feet down before the dive. I'd be willing to bet if Pittsburg got the challenge in first, there's a good chance it would have been 6.

If Pittsburgh win the SB, god forbid, then that's going to start the debate for Ben R. He's not a great statistical QB but he wins. Granted he's often surrounded by a superb OL and great defenses. I often wonder just what would Peyton do if he ever had a great defensive team to stop opposing teams. That can be said of many QBs actually.

Baltimore almost runs a punt back for a TD, they should at least get on the scoreboard on this drive.

If they can't score here they shouldn't come out for the 2nd half.

A 13 point lead isnt that bad, but if they get a TD here they are right back in the game, and will have momentum in the 2nd half. Looks like pass interference down to the 1 for Baltimore

Should have taken the points last time down this close. They weren't getting yards and they really expected to convert on fourth down? Need to punch this one. From the 1 this would be four down territory for my squad, unless they have a long sack or penalty.

Three and out for Pittsburgh, doubt Baltimore will be able to get the ball down the field to score in the 2 minutes they have left. Plus Heinz Field is the hardest place to kick a FG of all time

What a stupid fecking cnut, Sweed how the feck did you drop that, go back to UT you bastard

THat was a shiut call

What a block by Sweed, that guy is gonna have a concussion
