Nfl 2008-2009

That's because they had big play Shay, and one of the best D's all time

I am a bit surprised that Pennington made so many mistakes today, though the Baltimore defense played well and forced them to pass. The second Reed interception was a brilliant play. He basically started off in a left slot corner position until Pennington committed to throwing to the middle, then undercut it. Difference maker.

Pennington wasnt good but Baltimore defense was great

This next game will be good, could see it going to OT as well. Philly is en fuego, but the Vikes are at home and have AP. Still think Philly will win, but it could go either way just like the game last night

Nice, I made some deniro ce soir

I reckon they will be able to get someone good enough in free agency, it will be interesting they are lucky dogs to have gotten Peterson in the first place

Its mostly true...if both teams are dependent on a running game, its generally low scoring or one sided if there are turnovers. Every touch down tends to take a lot of time off the clock unless there are some defensive errors. If there is an error and one of the teams gains a 2 possession lead, the other team is forced to pass and they start digging a hole for themselves once they start chasing both the game and the clock.

Not really, good defenses tend to lower the score. If you are a good running team you can score a lot as well adn wear down a defense better. Actually I would say that establishing the run is more important than the pass if you want to score over 30 plus points

That's because a great running attack forces defenses to alter their schemes which then opens up the passing lanes as teams tend to sneak a safety into the box. And a few other things as well. Gridiron football is so intricately strewn together. That guy who was Offensive Coordinator in KC then Washington, name is lost on me at the time, had a 600 page playbook. 600 pages! Try remembering all that.

Oh I know about both, I was just telling him that running teams score a ton of points to, and tend to be more difficult to stop than pure passing teams

Haha Tennessee just lost 13-10 to Baltimore, hahahahhahahahhaha shitheads

What a terrible game overall. Penalties, turnovers, virtually zero offense from Baltimore. Officials blew that one call late. Clock had expired for at least a full second, possibly two, before ball was snapped. They don't blow the whistle and Flacco coverts to Heap for a big gain and first down. If they flag is correctly thrown, it stops the play, forces Baltimore into third and long. Who knows how the game finishes.

Tennessee blew too many chances though.

Yeah Tennessee should have won too many big mistakes though

Carolina is gonna skullfeck Arizona

As a fan it's terrible to see officiating feck things up especially a play clock and snap which is obvious. But imagine players and coaches. The Titans sideline was livid on that play. Being it's a playoff game, it's worse than the Hochuli decision. Wonder if the NFL will address it or if it will be quietly swept under the NFL rug.

Some of the calls in the San Diego game last week were worse imo

That game was not too memorable. Shame that Johnson got injured spectacle wise.

He played well in the first half and could have made the difference for the Titans offense.

Ray Lewis as much as I dislike some of his in game rituals etc can still bring it. That hit was sweet!

Yeah that was a great hit when he popped that guys head off

Carolina played a massive stinker, I expected them to win that comfortably. Six turnovers is not going to win you many games. Delhomme was terrible and put the team into a position where they had to run it much less than usual. I have no idea where this Arizona running game is coming from either and partly blame the Carolina defense as well as the threat of play action. Would probably be a good idea to cover Fitzgerald tightly too, just a thought.

Was delighted for Arizona last night..

I'm a sucker for an underdog.

Now all we need is Philli and San Diego to pull through and we'd have one hellofuva play-off weekend.

I can't imagine an Arizona/Baltimore or Arizona/San Diego Super Bowl. Either would probably be the worst anticipated, worst ratings SB ever.

It's possible Arizona could host the NFCC if Philly win today. Baltimore would host AFCC if San Diego win.

Giants vs Eagles

Giants 11 vs. 23 Eagles

full-time

Anyone watching this game? The Ref calling the downs is Sooooooooo so so so gay. As he positions himself to call the down - firmly places hands on hips and thrusts hips forward slightly...

I'm all for gays having equal rights, but please find this guy a job on the home & garden channel.

It would be like asking Lawrence Taylor to do the backround comments on Celebrity Rehab.

It is very odd seeing a flaming black gay guy calling the downs... he skips across the field like a guy dude, too.

5 minutes into the 2nd half - Giants pull ahead 11-10 with a field goal.

Eagles threatening with McNabb is back to completing passes, down within the 20 yard line of the Giants' end.

Eagles win the AFC East by beating the Gaints 23-11

And now I've got to see the bastard Phil Simms announce for the Pittsburge vs. San Diego matchup.

feck I hate the Eagles. Maybe they'll finally win a championship in the modern era to actually substantiate the shit talking of their fans. They're the worst fans in the NFL. All of sports actually (all Philly fans).

Come on Cardinals. fecking 9-7 team in the SB whomever wins next week.

Come on San Diego.

feck Yeah

Great punt return by Holmes for the touchdow, an XP from being tied

I actually like them, certainly hate San Diego much much much more

Im for Pittsburgh in this one. Mates team, so I swap over, like he did last year for me.

Horrible fecking idea to do a fake punt right there by Pittsburgh, if they were gonna go for it they should have just ran the ball from a normal set

10-7 San Diego, so it was truly moronic, stupid shit like that will cost you games, cant believe Tomlin did that as he is a pretty good coach imo

That was huge for Pittsburgh, that was by far their best drive of the game. 14-10

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh will be a great hard nosed game, for the AFC Championship, both of their games this year were excellent and went down to the wire

So Alex, what do you think of the appointment. The fifth-youngest head coach in league history.

Great news for Cutlers development and the rest of your offense in my opinion.

It may have been better to go with a more experienced defensive coach though, after last season.
