Philly win! Some triffic games so far.

Looking forward to the Lions-Niners game later on.

That's a TD! Can't the Rams review that?

Edit: automatically reviewed but not overturned? Ridiculous.

RG3 is a monster. Redskins have been impressive so far this season.

What a stupid penalty on the Redskins. In field goal range and the tit does that. Should be fined a week's wage.

Jets loss means all the teams in the AFC East are tied at 1-1. Tough game for the Pats next week in Baltimore, really hope Hernandez is back for that - apparently left the stadium on crutches.

Great start by the 49ers. If Smith can play like this I'm making them my Super Bowl favourites.

Davis and Gore just toyed the Lions around like nobody's business. Not the most exciting game ever though, Stafford was hopeless.

Apparently the refs were dreadful in that game. There's been a lot of criticism for their performances in this weeks games.

Hernandez could be out for a month. Big blow to our offense, Lloyd and Welker need to step up and the OL has to do a better job protecting Brady. Apparently Branch will re-sign with the team with Salas cut, I'm still surprised we didn't keep Gaffney.

Hernandez out for a while might be a blessing in disguise for my fantasy team. I'm sweating the fact that Welker is being gradually marginalized this season. Over contract dispute of all things. Welker is the new Nani.

Wouldn't worry about Welker for fantasy, I think he'll still end up a high end wr2. Then again, this is the guy who drafted Jamaal Charles and Stafford with his first two picks. Followed by Ryan Matthews and Antonio Gates...

I'd be lying if I say those are some inspiring picks. But it can be worse. Sometimes you just have to put the blame on the pick order really.

In the 49ers-Lions game, there was one play in particular where they called pass interference on the CB covering Titus Young. It was a 33 yard call, and it was very bad. If the Lions would have scored a touchdown because of it, that call, I think, would have got a more attention.

But the Lions had to kick a field goal and the 49ers won, so the call probably went relatively unnoticed. It was bad though

Got this PM from a newbie:

Hey there,
you seem to know quite a bit about american football. I recently started watching it and I really enjoy it, but it is kind of hard to get all the rules. One thing I don't understand yet (I'm sure there are more, but this one sticks out) is the following:
what happens, if the defence gets a 5 yd penalty at lets say the 3yd line? Where does play resume, since there are no 5 yds to go back?
Could please help me figure out, how this scenario would be resolved?

Cheers, hell

I thought it results in a half the distance to the goal call but I'm not certain. Anyone know the answer?

Yep that's correct, the only exception is a defensive pass interference call wherein the offense gets the ball at the spot of the foul. If the foul is in the end zone the offense gets it at the 1 yard line.

Drafting 12th in a 12 man league really didn't help, was totally unprepared for dealing with that. In hindsight I should have ditched the "qb in round 1" tactic and grabbed a Manning (either one), Ryan, RG3, Romo etc in the 5th or something.

Hopefully this will be the week my so-called "studs" turn it around, now that they're all reasonably healthy.

Packers had a nice bounce-back game, from the sf fiasco, last week. it took a defensive personnel overhall to do it. looked muuuch better. the offense in getting close to where they want to be. will have a tough test in seattle next monday night.

My fantasy team sucks. I genuinely just lost out on a touchdown with Romo (who was in the minus points for the first quarter) after some receiver tripped over an officials hat

At least you didn't lose patience with Jamaal Charles and put him on the bench like me.

Skins losing at home to the Bengals. Luv'it.

49ers supposed best team in football losing to the woeful Vikings.

Cowboys holding on to a slim lead but look in position to increase the lead to where Tampa will need two scores to win.

fecking Jets. Still plenty of time for Miami to get into FG position....

The lions

Niners

Some more great conclusions to games this week.
