Neymar

No Kane? No Osimhen? No Frenkie?
All very good players but not my type of players. I like Ferguson, Koopmeiners, Muani, Ugarte, Thiaw, Barella, K Thuram, Vanderson, Wirtz, Fagioli, etc these are my type of signings.

No way we even consider this after this season's availability issues with Martial.
Neymar's a very talented player but he's been averaging ~19 Ligue 1 games in last 6 seasons - can't depend on him to be available for a lot of the season

I know it makes no sense and pretty much goes against everything I've said about the club regarding recruitment/decision making but the muppet in me would love to see Neymar at Old Trafford.

It'll probably end like Di Maria though. Some class games, mercurial talent and performances and then all tears.

The thought of how bratty we'd be as a team with him, Antony and Bruno almost made me throw up.

He's an incredible player but Neymar has shown since he left Barca he's not worth the hassle. A combination of injuries and immaturity has seen him underwhelm for countless seasons now.

Definitely not the type of character we need in our dressing room.

Kind of deal you do when looking to add something to an already strong squad. That definitely won't be us until we have brought in around 7 players

More a general statement honestly, as far as Neymar goes I can certainly see both sides of an argument for or against him. But saying things like “he’s another lazy attacker” when Neymar is basically the only one of that front 3 that ever demonstrated any sort of work rate off the ball is hilarious

True. Besides Messi, Mbappe is the other lazy attacker in that PSG front 3. He should putting more effort off the ball considering his age.

Neymar's always had some graft in him.

The inner muppet would love to see Neymar at united, but it would only end up as a CR7 2.0 scenario and I would have thought it goes completely against what ETH is trying to build.

The most overrated footballer of all time in my opinion.

The amount of people who claim he was the at one point, either the best footballer in the world or the third best (behind Ronaldo or Messi) is incredible. Perfectly sums up the modern day football fan tbh.

To quote Billy Hoyle, "you'd rather look good and lose, than look bad and win".

If we sign him, we won't get top four.

I agree with this. It would be an absolutely atrocious signing.

The same people vehemently against this potential loan move are the same people who defend the Weghorst loan move.

Make it make sense.

Hardly see people defending the loan move anymore. Would say the majority seems to call out ETH for his obsession with him.

Please fecking don't. A good player but an absolute clown. I think we've had enough of clowning in the last 10 years.

JAMAIS !!!!!!

Neymar is not anymore a football player. He has flashes here and there, will score 20+ goals and assists but has a salary around 30M per year and is absolutely horrible to manage.

He plays video games + poker every night, has not anymore what it takes to be a leader.

I don't want another diva in our dressing room.

It will be like Sanchez. I we give him his salary, then Rashford, Casemiro, Bruno etc will also ask for huge pay rise.

No thanks

Mostly side with this view.

Unplayable on his day but he spends most of his time trying to be some kind of Ronaldinho/Ronaldo cross and failing. He's been indulged his whole career and he would be an absolute disaster here.

I’d be surprised if current united are showing interest, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone from Qatar has told neymar they want to sign him if they buy the club.

Would not want the drama, would rather have a player with less skill and better attitude

Please, don't even think about it. He'd be an absolute disaster - injured half the time, an expert in shithousery, He'd be a divisive influence, I reckon

It's sort of like Kerry Katona or Katie Price offering you the ride.

I mean, it'd probably be wild, but ultimately it'd leave you with more problems than you had beforehand.

All three of these things would have looked good 15 years ago, but in 2023, not so much.

Dives, cries, injury prone, old and misses games when its a period of his sister's birthday.

What could possibly go wrong.

Yep all that. Plus also he's a football genius. Life's rarely simple.

He is not my no 1 signing but his goals and assist tally are off the charts.

Talent wise among the very best, but I'm not ready for the drama, attitude and general unavailability for a whole host of reasons that he will bring with him. And probably neither is ETH.

Best invest that money elsewhere imo. We're not that close to the title where all we're missing is one mercurial player to give us another 5-10 points through magic. We're ~20 points off City. We need a central ST, a CM and a GK more than Neymar.
