This is the source.
Less than the number who have come and signed for us describing us as ''the biggest club in the world''How many players so far this summer have used us for a new contract?
Makes sense for Neymar to move to United. And who's reported that we've actually bid for him? Thing is these rumours do tend to snowball...

"Barca star dreams of United"?
Right back, obviously, Darmian will have to be benched. In times like these it's important to stay rational and discuss what position LvG is going to play him in when he arrives.

Would people even want to sign him for the figures being mentioned? I don't normally care about what we end up paying in transfer fees, but 200m odd euros just sounds obscene and I can't even imagine what his wages would look like. I'd rather we sign players who actually want to play for us rather than getting someone to join us by throwing large piles of cash at them.
So Neymar's buyout clause is reportedly 190m euros.
The way a buyout clause works, it always favours the selling club, and doesn't exactly force them to sell. Sometimes, when they are willing to sell (as in the Pedro case), it is as simple as paying the agreed fee and agreeing the contract with the player. The agreed fee includes VAT.
However, when the club doesn't want to sell (as presumably in the Neymar case as they have no way of immediate replacemet), they will claim that the VAT is not included. They will also force the buyout rule, whereby the player must pay the fee. This means that the buying club must transfer funds to the player, which then succumbs to tax at 44%.
Therefore, the total fee would be 190m euros + VAT @ 18% + Tax @ 44% = 322m euros (£236m). And that doesn't even include any wages!
Shit Varun, we're talking double world record transfer almost but hey, it's not our money!!The best players in the world don't come cheap.

They aren't this expensive either. Like Ronaldo, Bale, Di Maria etc.

Wrong. Neither us nor Bayern payed more than the release clause for Herrera/Martinez. There are way around not paying taxes although it isn't straightforward and what worked for Bilbao doesn't necessarily work for Barca. So Neymar's buyout clause is reportedly 190m euros.

What about Sergio Canales though? This is Neymar. We can afford it.

Until we sell him to PSG next season for £30mThis is Neymar. We can afford it.
I'm sure there is a way round this to not pay the tax? I don't think we paid it with Herrera. So Neymar's buyout clause is reportedly 190m euros.

I've had a long hard day, so I'm struggling to come to grips with the title.
What the feck?
I suspect folk are laughing at us.
