So what are you saying, we didn't bid for Ramos and Fabregas either?

The Ramos one was a bit of an anomaly because they want De Gea and we assumed we could pressure them into selling by using De Gea. Fabregas didn't sign a new deal. He tried one more year at his hometown club and when it didn't work out he left at the end of the following year.

We've been linked with plenty 'nonsensical' players the last few years. When it predictably doesn't come off everyone automatically assumes that "Woody" is to blame for bidding for unattainable targets. People don't even seem to consider that perhaps it's all a guff.

Another transfer window, another Spanish release clause

He isn't going to buy his contract out to join us

Does Neymar actually solve the problem we have in this team?. He is top 3 outfield players in the world for me BUT..... wouldnt our style hinder his game like it has so many other worldie players?. Our issue is just throwing great players into a broken system hoping that it remedies it...when its the manager that chooses the broken system.

Can he do it on a cold night in Stoke?

Every fecker is using the club's name to get a contract extension. It's annoying.

This is not an agent making up news. United made the offer to FC Barcelona, confirmed. Nobody is using United on this one..

For a moment I thought we signed him!!

Aye, but I never said it was about signing new deals. I said "blind bid", and I stand by that. Blind bid in the sense of why bid if the player doesn't want to come?

We have 100m pounds to spend still, right?
Yeah, but its like having money put away for a new sofa. You cant waste money on a night out with it. That 100m is for a big signing. Hence why we'll probably not sign anyone this month sadly.

The cost of his fathers orgies are included in the signing on fee

this. Fergie would tell him to go and enjoy himself. LVG will give him a 650 page book on philosophy and process and then 35 page manual on how to take throw-ins.

He will be fine, LVG will work hard to eliminate every creative aspect of his game, proving the philosophy works.

you have to feel for the people that genuinely believe that there is anything in this...not necesarily here, but generally...there is much a chance of us signing steven gerrard and handing him a 5 year contract on Rooney wages, than Neymar signing for us this Summer...(probably even the next 5/6)...

Does Britain have an extradition treaty with Brazil?

Neymar could be the anti-Ronnie Biggs

Tbf fair to Woodward he's at least proving that the "you can sign anyone with enough money" theory is definitely wrong.

Amazing that a move so unrealistic, illogical, spectacularly stupid and totally devoid of common sense can at the same time be strangely unsurprising. If it is true then it's actually quite funny really.

Makes sense for Neymar to move to United. And who's reported that we've actually bid for him? Thing is these rumours do tend to snowball...
