The problems it would create for them over player wages would be hilarious. Any new superstar signing will want the same, and any superstar renewing will too.

I think you made a mistake. That is €958,9k a week or £757,7 a week. But yeah, I would also hold out fo round 1m€ a week :wenger::lol:
 
For what I read lately the player was offered to Madrid and PSG. Although Florentino would love to get the player he thinks that would be counter productive to give so much money to Barcelona,besides the club thinks that Neymar and his protagonism desides will bring problems to Barsa dressing room.
The player wants to renew with Barcelona but his father wants to go to Paris.He think that Neymar has to be far from Messi to fight for Ballon d'or

Would you want him at Madrid? His level has dipped in the second half of the season every year he has been at Barcelona. The first year I think the off the firled case and Tata shifting him out to the right to shoe horn Cesc into the team contributed to that but this season and last season the off the field issue affected him. Also how is his partying regarded in Spain? I have a feeling he will go down the Ronaldnho route very soon. Too many top Brazilians have declined too fast, Adriano, Ronaldinho, Kaka, R9, Romario etc. There seems to be a pattern here.
 
Surely not?! 50?! He can go there for all that money. I do think it is better for him to move though, it might motivate him to do better if he is not playing with Messi.

He is a spectacular player that can do it much better.I felt disappointed for his season.
In other situation I would be happy with him in Madrid but he is too expensive and I don't like his entourage.Too worried about money.
If his father can convince him to go to Paris for money +a baloon d'or promise then he is very naive.
I think that Madrid should wait for the next star and don't get obsessed with him
 
I still believe he'll be the one taking over the mantle from messi and ronaldo. All players love money, why do you think messi and ronaldo renew every few years.
 
If Neymar has a few functioning brain cells left then he should stay at Barca.

He is already one of the best paid players in the world and can still earn PSG kind of money a few years later with a move if he wishes.

Bit harsh to lump in Kaka and Ronaldo with the others. In their case it was injuries that destroyed them, and even if he wasn't the same player Ronaldo still continued to play at a high level and score plenty of goals.

At Madrid R9 was going out and parting like it was 1994, he didn't watch his diet and he looked very tubby. He joined Madrid and was there from the age of 26-28 irrc. He was pretty unprofessional with his approach to training but everyone liked him because of his personality. I've read a few books and even in football documentaries the players he played with said the same thing. Look how big he. He played well because he had outstanding talent but imagine if he looked after himself.

Kaka was maybe a bit harsh because his playing style depended very much on his ridiclous pace and once he lost that explosiveness, he was never the same player so that was a bit unfair on my part.

100%. I can see why MAdrid might want him because he is essentially a Galactico because of his star power. He is a very big brand. It's all about the money but I wouldn't begrudge him for going. There are very few teams that can be built around him that can create a super team around him at this moment. PSG will be one of them and maybe Manchester City. For his brand it makes sense.

I feel Martial and Dybala are the players that will be the next star forwards. Martial is very raw but the talent is so obvious. I hope he does well under Mourinho. What is your opinion on Pogba?

If PSG get Neymar then they wouldn't have to be as dependent on their CMs as they were last season as Neymar is an effective ball acrrier in the final 3rd. When Verratti got injured, the MF literally looked disjointed. They need to get a vice Veratti or a MF that can bring the ball into the final third so Pogba would be great. I heard that his family don't want him to go to Paris because they feel it would have a negative influence on him as most of his entourage are in Paris. He would lose focus essentially.

You kid yourself if you think this can't happen. Neymar personally wants to stay but PSG can turn the heads of people around him. His Dad loves the €€€s. PSG will just find a way to pay him a salary Barcelona can only dream of.
 
Don't think he will go to PSG. The salary seems to be huge, but his marketing revenues will take a hit, imo. He's in for the long run, he wants to squeeze every penny out of Barca. Barca's bill still on the up, how long till they run out of money? Fun times ahead of us. Luckily not our problem. :D

Ruin his career how? He'll go to a club that's competing in the CL, he'll be the higest paid football (right?), he'll elevate his brand. The disparity in the league will be about similar as his current standing besides the Real and Atletico rival. Plus he doesn't have to look at Suarez every day anymore.
 
A recent article supposedly leaked Neymars contrat saying he was on around €75,000 a week.
