We will miss out and then he will go to city, real madrid or another top club and then it will be the same theme again and people will say how come we didn't get Pochettino. United need to negotiate with psg and be assertive towards the manager we want. ETH is following the same formula of our previous managerial acquisition in that he is available and we don't have to negotiate with the respective club as much.
Poch has not done well at PSG. And his stock was falling in the final season and a half with Spurs.

I still like him a lot but his style is what puts him second to Ten Hag for me.

How can you say his stock is falling and not ETH? At psg, he got to the semi final and also is about to walk the league, not to mention some of the domestic cup he has won there. His style is also more impressive than ETH as well. If you watched psg and real and Ajax and benefica, it is clear to see whose style was more attractive. Rewatch both games on your free time if you have the chance. It seems this forum has been gaslighted by someone but I can't figure out who it is.

I have seen a lot of the games.

Ajax I feel were unfortunate to lose to Benfica and they dominated the game. Psg threw the game vs Real which was built on individual errors but Poch also didnt make any reasonable changes when Real looked to be taking control. His in game management was poor.

Moreover there are many underwhelming performances his PSG has had both this season and last. ETH on the other hand over performs almost always with Ajax, bar his rebuild when he lost all his best players.

Why the feck is every pundit, ex player and journalist screaming for Pochettino to get the job? Is there something we’re all missing here because the more I see of Poch the more sure I am he ain’t the guy.

It is like going for Frank Spencer over Gary Kasparov as your representative for a chess tournament

My guess is that he is "PL proven".

The media has always had a love affair with him. Partner that with the PL experience, and the other option being just some dutch bloke they've not much knowledge or interview access too, its a big no thanks.

Ah that old bollocks. How many times does that myth need to be dispelled before these guys stop banging on about it? I mean they only need to look at the last 2 managers to win the PL to realise it’s a load of shite.
He literally said because "he knows the Premier League" it's getting boring now

Wayne gives his reason. "Done it in the league". As many have said, that's not a good enough reason.

Rooney probably wants Pochettino so he himself can become United's manager once Poch gets sacked after 2-3 uneventful years.

They have probably seen more of him, played against him both as player and manager. They’d have seen Ten Hag and Ajax in the champions league but no one in England is following Eredivisie closely.

Is that why PSG are supposedly desperate for us to pay them so they don't have to pay his compensation when they inevitably sack him.

Your man's been sacked from two of his last three clubs, and will almost certainly be sacked from his current one too soon enough. I don't think the elite of Europe are going to be clawing for his signature as much as you think or want to believe.

SAF wants Poch. So all the ex players do too.

SAF has been wrong about every managerial appointment since he retired.

The more abject morons in the media throw their worthless backing behind Poch, the happier I'll be if we do get ETH.

Good old Premier League proven. That’s why Moyes and Mourinho were such resounding successes at United.

They’re entitled to their opinions but our ex-players really do seem risk averse in nature if that’s their main reason why they want Poch, especially when Ferguson (who they worked under) loved a gamble.

I see more parallels between us appointing Moyes almost a decade ago and us potentially appointing Poch now. A guy who got a biggish team to punch above their weight consistently, worked on a limited budget, won nothing and biggest achievements were high league finishes.

Well reputable sources had confirmed ETH impressed in the interview. They also said candidates were asked whether playing style was the focus or transfers. I would say its both but didnt the sources insinuate ETH wanted to focus more on playing style?

If all true, then good luck getting that shower of shite looking remotely interested. I'd happily ship 15 of them, bring 7-10 players in and start again.
Ship a portion out and the rest will buck up their ideas. It’s why Fergie used to play mind games with them at the end of every season asking about hunger

Fergie, Wenger, Jose, Ancelotti, Pep, Klopp, Conte, Tuchel

All the best managers of the Premier League era. How many were "PrEMiEr LEAgUe prOVEn" when they found success here?

Sports pundits, ex players and journos really are such a stupid bunch.

Just to pick up on something a Poch inner said earlier, ETH is not earmarked because he’s available, we would have to pay his release clause of nearly 2m. If we wanted to be cheap we could wait for Poch to be sacked

He has a reputation of being very accommodating to Journo's. Has been polite and prepared to talk about stuff on and off the record when it suits him.

The journos are worried that a manager that is unknown to the UK public is going to come and manage the biggest "clickable" club in the country and freeze them out.

I do hope Hag sweeps out all of Mates FC and just keeps the staff willing to be loyal to the club, knuckle down, shut up and work hard.

This sort of discipline and "no fecks given" will scare the journos because they will not have easy access to one of the many people all too willing to leak some bull story.

Your post is a clown.

The more these British Pundits and ex players talk of Poch the more I want ETH.

Luckhurst thinks we should go Pochetino

Sorry but he’s an absolute creature, I disagree with pretty much everything he says about United.

He hasn’t thought it though though, his best pal Deano might get a chance under ETH.
