Either Ten Hag or Pochettino would be great, don’t mind either way. Take issue at people overestimating Ten Hag and underestimating Poch though. Poch has more relevant experience to the shitshow that is United and their rag tag team of big ego players. Ten Hag is an excellent coach but you would be taking him outside the excellent and stable Ajax model into the unknown a bit.

Exactly. The players have too much power and Pocc is probably seen as a similar type to Ole

Yeah they shouldn't be calling the shots on who our new manager is going to be. How about get your heads down and work for Ralf

Exactly! That's how I feel about Pocchetino too... He may be a good coach, but he can't boast of any great successes either. The danger with such buddy-type coaches is that players take too much liberty and think the coach is behind them anyway. ETH would be the best and most ideal solution! Unlike Pocc, he is more fixated on a proper structure in the club, from bottom to top. That's why I'd be for the Ajax way too... Get rid of the unwilling and make a completely new start with the young talents. They don't bring immediate success, but we haven't had that over the years without young talent...

The players should have exactly zero input on the appointment. A lot of them should instead be jettisoned at the first opportunity. Ridiculous this is even being discussed, to be honest.

And where is this coming from anyway? I would have suspected Shaw, but from what he said recently it doesn't seem like it's him. Pogba, Cavani and Lingard will be gone, amongst others. The only ones who I suspect are Rashford, Maguire and AWB.

I think the fact that the dressing room leak has stated that the players want Poch should automatically make us choose ETH. That’s just one reason, but one big reason. Even if the leak is only talking about their own preference or the preference of some players, these are likely to be the bad influences that we should be getting rid of, the ones who are crying about being made to press and also likely to be the same ones who don’t try enough in games and are happy to pick up their huge paychecks as they know they can earn more here and try less than at other clubs, yet still get new higher contracts from our clueless board and owners.

Unfortunately as it suits our clueless board and owners to keep things as they are, not improve the football structure at the club, not win trophies and keep players who are merited by social media presence. And the same short sighted leach owners also aren’t interested in improving the football structure for the long term benefits at the cost of their dividends, and therefore the temporary fix and wrong choice of Poch suits them too vs bringing in a progressive manager like ETH who can actually win us stuff, given time, with RR also initiating a clear out of the bad elements. It just feels like the whole thing is one gaslight after another with our board. Briefing the press for years about getting a DOF with the one hand but grasping millions in dividends with the other. Saying that Murtough represents a change yet installing the unproven Fletcher in an integral role. Briefing that Pogba might be kept on at 500k…taking RR in some shadowy yet completely undefined consultancy role and most importantly showing absolutely zero sign that the role will be built towards success and catching up with our already-light-years-ahead rivals (in terms of running a club for football success rather than as a cash machine)

I didn't even want Poch until I seen the sheer hatred to him from certain posters on here spamming every thread.

Latest is people now comparing him to Ole like he's his twin or something

Now I'm praying we get him.

It's not only the manager. If we want to play modern attacking football. First and foremost, the players need to be able to run and press for 90 mins. Currently, our players are only able to press for 30 mins.

We need to kick out those players not suitable for pressing style and get in players for the new manager. This is the responsibility of the DOF to plan. No point getting ETH when the players can only press for 30 mins. He will fail here too without the right players.

The current players are so used to negative counter attacking football and have the lowest fitness in PL.

Rodgers actually have 96 votes.

Should be mandatory that you state what club you support when you join, and the poll would be only for Man Utd-supporters. Then we could even have a seperate poll for all other supporters. Bet Rodgera would do great on that one.

Also, who gives a feck who the players want. They should have zero influence about who steers this club forward in the future. If they don't want to work under them, let them go. Time to take back the ridiculous power these serial underachievers have at this club.

The Sun reckon Richard Arnold will support RR recommendation of appointing Eric Ten Hag over Poch. Woodward wanted Poch.

Would be delighted if we could get ETH.
That would be a good start as a CEO. As long as he listens to people who has footballing knowledge, the fans won't get frustrated.

Problem with Ed was he thought money would resolve all of our issues and we spent without a plan. If Ralf is leading the effort with a proper manager like ETH think we can stay positive about our future.

It's hard to take the sun seriously, but Arnold delegating football decisions to football people sounds like a step in the right direction at least. But then again, it's the sun.

Rodgers is a very good manager (though not elite level obviously) and think some of those votes were from early period of this season. Some surely, as you say, from rival fans.

You could argue all PL-managers is very good. But Rodgers should not be close to any top club, and I would not be surprised at all if Leicester will hire a better manager when they fire Rodgers. Really not that hard.

I hope we take a look at Arno Slot. ETH is good but will need a lot of time and new players. Arno looks to me that he has the right attitude and capacity for the PL. I a not a Feyenoord fan

Yeah we need players who are committed to pressing for the entire game not just when they feel like doing it for a bit

Think they were early on. Injuries have done for him this season.

Not just injuries, but the curse of growing stale a bit with players from different regimes and not being able to invest in the squad sufficiently, Leicester like West Ham now and others in the past who have got amongst the bigger teams such as Everton without the right investments time and again in the squad will become depleted by loss of players to bigger clubs, players aging Vardy for Leicester for instance its hard to replace that production on their budget, injuries also and then bigger clubs like Arsenal and Spurs potentially getting better as they are able to invest in a more sustained way then it becomes the perfect storm and its hard to see a way back for them for them back into the top 6 like they have been for the past 3 seasons

Spurs lost again today.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm still hoping Conte bails out at the end of the season and we don't blow missing out on him again!

The first question we should ask of any manager we're looking at is - are they still wanted at their current club?

The second question - would they be coveted by Liverpool/City/Bayern if they were looking for a new manager?

If the answer to either is no then what the feck are we hiring them for.

No other top club would have ever contemplated hiring Moyes. No top club was remotely interested in taking LVG given his age and career trajectory. We hired Mourinho after he'd burned every bridge at Chelsea and had a total meltdown. And no other club in the league would have considered hiring Ole after his pitiful performance at Cardiff.

Hopefully we learn these lessons this time.

Yeah and Ten Hag definitely fits both categories

Yeah and so would someone like Luis Enrique. That's why those two have to be the standout candidates.

Poch is an odd one. I think other top clubs would definitely consider him if they were looking at a new manager. PSG obviously dont care much about keeping him, but then they're not run like a football club.

Yeah very true but won't be available until after the World Cup that's for sure

The Sun are saying Rodgers is looking for houses in Manchester :O.

I didn't click into the article though, as its a shit-tier, sorry excuse for a rag. I wouldn't wipe my arse with it, never mind give them ad revenue.

ETH or Luis Enrique are good calls and I hope it is a decision based on football reasons by experts and not ego like under Ed

Can we simply Stick with Ragnick. We gave Ole 3 Years of our United Lives. Lets just back the man and let him create his own squad. It dont matter who you bring in manger wise, The squad in my opinion has peaked and the max you might get is a FA cup but never in a chance to win the league.

If it's ETH say goodbye to this lot because he will Pep the entire team in a brutal culling of the less intelligent, kick and run, gun blaze merchants. Huge culture shock to go from Ole to ETH. Our players probably decided on Poch after watching Ajax play. I think as most highly technical managers do ETH would also prefer to go young so he isn't having to teach all these old dogs new tricks and I'll back him till the end. Our players seem to play without any kind of aptitude for vertical tiki taka. I think this was what LVG also tried to do but he just replaced them with even less suitable players like Depay, Schneiderlin etc and doomed himself.

We wasted 3 years on an interim, who should never have been given the permanent job, so we should do exactly the same thing again?

And what makes you think another made manager wouldnt end up being an Ole? Ole had no experience whatsoever. At least with Ralph, hes got experience and credited with being an innovator of modern football

Rodgers has bought a house in Wilmslow. He seems to have downed tools with us, so what does thall this tell you?

GOAL FRANCE, Tier 1 for PSG, reports Pochettino is our number 1 priority for the summer or even sooner if PSG get knocked out by Real Madrid (which is very likely they will).

I hope they are going off on old information and are wrong.
