They were one point behind with 17 games played. If he was a great manager he would have won the league easily.
If Tuchel was a great manager he wouldn't have been a greater distance off 1st after 21 games in the same season.

Do you now see how stupid you sound?

Ajax were second in the Dutch League only a few points ahead of 3rd until a few weeks ago - Pochetino only being 11 points clear is a weird criticism.
Are Ajax owned by a state with players in a different stratosphere to their rivals?

Klopp was never at the biggest club in the league. Completely different scenario. Poch managed to come 3rd in a season where they could have caught Leicester.
There are no two exact scenarios. I'm using your methodology to apply to other cases, which shows that it's not very sound. But Pochettino's last season at Spurs, and before that, blowing it to Leicester in 2016 are more valid. It's what I think of regarding my hesitation with him. Again, not my first choice, but I reckon he could do a decent job with us.

Why is Rangnick not in the poll to be the permanent manager?

He's doing a good job and with his midfield signings I think he can raise our game alot. Whether Pogba stays or goes.

I don't thing Pochettino is better or was ever the one for us. I would've taken him over Ole but not over Rangnick.

If we're not going to have Ralf as permanent manager it must be for someone that is clearly better than him.

I don't see Poch as that and Ten Hag is unproven at the Premier League level despite him deserving credit for some of their performances in the Champions League.

I really am sorry that my judgement on Poch hurts you so much. It’ll be ok.

It doesn't hurt me. Hes not even my first choice for the job.

Youve just been pulled up for BS is all.

Posters like these. You either throw them a rope or just feck them off.

Either way, you're not losing any sleep mate. Each to their own and all that.

Round and round we go. He has not dominated French football, as I have revised my point to be. That is correct up until this point. Over and done.

He has. You're just being thick now.

Your argument is that he didnt win the league in 17 games. You therefore think Tuchel wasnt good either for doing worse in 21 games.

Thing is, Tuchel was good and Poch is walking the league. You're chatting shit. Move on.

Tuchel was sacked after 17 games. Poch lost the league in the remaining 21. For someone so keen on specifics you’d think you’d have known that. Also, maybe try and cut down on the insults/put downs. Absolutely no need for it.

That would lead you too 2024 for this takeover. Nagelsmann has a contract until 2026, so it could be difficult to actually pull it off. But I agree that this move would absolutely make sense as their styles are well compatible and we have seen this succession to be quite successful in Leipzig.
Nagelsmann would be successful no matter who he succeeds

If everyone wants a baldy, why not this guy? He'd whip them into shape.

Talk about a one team league..
You can't have it both ways. You can't talk down Pochettino for not dominating the French League more clearly while the fact that Ten Hag isn't actually running away with Eredivisie somehow doesn't put a dent in his glory.

Enlightening data and I stand corrected on the financial disparity. However, I would still say that from a player perspective the gap is still greater in France than in Holland.

Arguably yes, but then it might be argued that brings with it baggage.

The PSG dressing room does not seem to me like they're a very cohesive bunch of players who are easy and eager to be formed into a drilled unit. It seems disparate to me, with a huge disparity between rich and 'poor', megastars and nobodies, for starters.
It's surely a very difficult managerial job, very high expectations paired with a sense of entitlement.

Of course that's not to deny that the good job Ten Hag is doing can be seen very clearly.

It’s not about domestic performances. He got a fine tune out of a young squad against tough competition in Europe. He also rebuilt that team quite impressively.

The argument was made about domestic performances, that's the only context of my post. Not meant to deny Ten Hag's impressiveness.

So Tuchel had 17 games and was sacked. Poch had 21 games and finished in the same position.
One manager was great and one was shit.

Sure that makes mountains of sense. As I said, BS will get called out.

Who said anything about being shit? I’ve said numerous times he’s clearly a good manager. Not what’s needed. I also never said anything about Tuchel?

Hopefully the club are ruling out Ralf staying on another year. Although I can see it…cheap option, Fletcher as his assistant and the board stay in full egotistical control of all football matters.

If not ten hag, we should take a risk and hire potter or lage or galtier and get them for 2 year contract. Its risky but worth going for it rather than usual safe choice of poch or rodgers.

Ugh, Rodgers better not be on that fecking shortlist.

Hope there’s some left field choices on there or speculative/optimistic choices like Marco Rose.

To be honest. I'd have 1st choice Ten Hag and 2nd as Ralf at the moment. I really hope we avoid Poch and Rodgers

ETH will have release clause while Poch will be free. Could be major reason why Poch will get the job.

If ETH has to stay another year, I wouldn't mind one year of Ralf rather than getting Poch

Poch has a decent Instagram profile, Ten Hag has not, which is also a major reason for United to go for Poch :wenger: #Brand Fc #Social Media FC.

I will be fine if Ten Hag rejects us - atleast we gave it a go..

However, if we purely go for Pochettino without trying for Ten Hag then that will leave me pi**Ed.

One of these managers wins things the other doesn’t. Should be a very easy decision. Which probably means our board will flap about for months on end and ultimately make the wrong one.
One of them also has experience in the premier league and will likely be a free agent (hence cheaper), so that's how the board will see it. They're also the wrong choice.

I'd love us to get Ten Hag but unfortunately I fully expect the board to go for Poch.
