Next Draft - Ideas and Discussions

We really need to start doing 24-32 person drafts

I had a theme I have been waiting on for All Time Draft for months now and I thought I reserved my spot by saying I'm IN FOR WHATEVER before any theme was announced.

Uh I literally said in for whatever, which basically meant reserve my spot for ANY draft no matter what it was before any theme was decided

Had an idea for a snake draft where you can have the same player more than once in the same draft, but rule being their iterations must be at least 5 years apart.

So someone can pick 23 year old Pele, but someone else can also pick Pele but he has to be the 18 or under version of him, or 28 or over version.

This is definitely an interesting idea that would be cool to try

It's just 2 matches :lol:. Do watch the ones on Mackay though, I found his displays to be better from those 2 games alone.

Yes. It's an all-time snake but there will be an extensive list of players with values attached. You will have a budget and not be able to field a team worth more than X amount. The idea is to give the flexibility of an all-time snake but to prevent compete GOAT fests.


We're still working on the list but hopefully will be ready for public consumption in a couple of days.

He was a mystery so now I have an idea of his profile. Some players have no coverage like Juan Joya, Popluhar, joncquet...

Had a wand of a left peg and was just 2-3 steps ahead of just about everyone on the pitch with his one touch passing, one-twos and even his movement off the ball - always managing to find free space to make himself available for the pass. It's also no wonder how the wing duo of Skoglund and Hamrin had such great tournaments with the ammunition provided by Liedholm.

I was also sort of expecting an elderly stateman's performance defensively but it was an impressive defensive display and he covered plenty of ground, always covering runners, winning headers, intelligently positioning himself and of course making recoveries in the engine room. All the more impressive given that he was 36 years old :eek: which must be donkey's years in that era in particular :lol:.
