How about an year draft? Each manager picks a particular year and all who have played for a top division team during that year will be eligible for them.

Or maybe the hardest draft ever....you can pick only only player, per decade, per country, per club.

I like it but maybe have two players per decade.
 
I also liked an idea of a 1-11 draft, you have to pick a player who wore each shir number for a minimum 3 years

Flexi-Draft:

Format:

Snake

Criteria:

You can only retain 4 players from playing XI of previous round. All others have to be dropped back into pool. Cannot pick dropped player (all rounds) again.

Therr will be no matches. Each teams will be rated by 3 neutrals on sales of 1-10 and averaged out. Total of 3 rounds and highest total average wins.

Yea we do have AM's or co managers in a few teams usually. Once the current draft finishes, you could nominate yourselves for the next draft to play alone or be an AM to someone. Watch the thread so you get a notification when a new draft is planned or started

Don't think I was clear but think you've answered what I meant/thought (less 70s/80s players?)

Like that and like maxing players per decade..... going to have to have some players from 50s? (at least).

Maxing two WC and two CL winners (on top) will make it pretty tough/interesting.
 
How about club form draft?

You pick players and have to link it to the club they played for and the player gets judged on that form only.

Can add restrictions like only 2 players from one club etc.

To add to this you would also have to pick a 2 or 3 year period of the player picked at the club to be judged on.

Just realised that it was already uploaded as I was searching for a thumbnail pic :lol:. Anyway a barnstorming performance from Gullit from the right midfield position (with Massaro playing in the hole) with his pace and dynamism causing all sorts of problems for the Inter defense.

Lovely. One of my favorites. Incredible how deep he positions himself at start and how much ground he covers.... quickly.
