Hey, thanks for asking.

My favorite all time player is Roy Keane. The heart, the passion, the determination, the leadership he showed on the field and the way he struck fear in his competitors had me in awe of his game. I tend to prefer players who have a nice skill set but there heart out shines there skills.

For example, my current favorite player is Antonio Valencia. Is the most talented player from United? No, far from it but the way he works his socks off for the team and the way he carries himself speaks volumes to me. I would still prefer that he crosses a ball a bit better but no player is perfect.

How about you, who is your favorite all time player?

One player to run my midfield... Roy Keane, followed closely by Paul Scholes. If I was to choose a non United player to run my midfield it would be a close call between Clarence Seedorf and Edgar Davids.

Final answer though... Roy Keane

Pre Keane favorite is a tough question for me... I was born in 1984 and really started following football in 1994. Picking a player that played pre-Keane is hard for me as I did not watch them live. The players I have watched highlights of and that I read a lot about that I would have loved to have seen live is Bryan Robson and Duncan Edwards... I also really did enjoy what little I got to watch of Frank Rijkaard.

My all time favorite players:
1 Keane
2 Scholes
3 Vidic
4 Cantona
5 Valencia

* I played RB in college and love the way Valencia has transformed his game the last few years so he is currently high on my list.

I really appreciate the offer! Sjor was the first to ask and we have a solid plan for our team so far. Looking forward to getting to know you guys here at Red Cafe and I appreciate the warm response so far. I am very new to blogging about footy and our great club Man Utd but so far I love this place.

On the basis it was my idea, can I please be in it? :angel:

I promise I'lI only be in for one round.
 
Most likely the current draft gets over by Friday. I can get the new thread started as soon as that draft is over but generally the turnout is quite slow on the weekends so we’ll probably start on Monday
 
In for auction draft.


I also had an idea for UK draft, basically English first division (PL) draft with following restrictions

- Players born between 1937 and 1987 eligible, if they have at least 100 top flight appearances in England
- Minimum 5 players in the squad who never played in PL era (92 onwards that is)
- Minimum 5 players who played in PL era
- Minimum 6 home nation players (Eng, Sco, NI, ROI, Wales)
- Maximum one foreign player from one country (i.e only one Portuguese, one French player etc) ROI does not count as foreign.
 
How is the UK one going before Auction with more people wanting auction?

All 3 judges will PM the mod separately (to avoid undue influence) on their result predictions.

Match 2: Team (A or B) will win

Mod will tally up and announce the full results (incl the judge votes). If need be we can just list as Judge A, B and C to avoid personal influence.

Repat for QF.

SF and Finals can happen as normal.
