NBC Sports is getting the Premier League Next Season

I didn't want to start a thread separate but any Bein Sports subscribers here?

If this was certainly the one with Robbie Earle in the punditry box and Trevor Francis as co-commentator then they need improving sharpish. Awful coverage. They wouldn't stop rabbiting on about negative shite while the players did their lap of honour.

NBC has a great picture, but every time I hear Le Saux's voice I want to kill him.

NBC needs to get the cl coverage away from fox.
Listening to gus johnson and eric wynalda is almost too much. Not to mention max bretos
Whatever happened to Bobby McMahon? He was great on Fox soccet report.

Yeah. I watch La Liga when I remember the games are on. Coverage is really a second-rate product. Standard definition, low production values, no studio, and that insufferable bastard calling every one of Messi's farts "magisterial". He calls the Barca games and the other guys are on Madrid duty. I'm not even sure the announcers are at the match, they might be voicing over a tv feed.

The NBC production values make even lower table English matches interesting for their broadcasts. I would love to see Spanish football with the same excitement.

I've caught the odd NBC stream here and there, and it's not bad. I don't mind the footballing terms being slightly different, why should we demand everyone to use our terminology? They aren't changing the rules of the game or anything, who cares if they say "goalie" or "PK", as long as they love the sport and want to show it and promote it in their country. My problem is more with the quality of analysis sometimes, but it's not like the UK have swarms of brilliant commentators and pundits right. But someone mentioned how annoying Robbie Earle is and I concur, that man is so difficult to listen to.

Rebecca Lowe makes it all worthwhile. Fox has some ****** called Julie Binks for eye candy, but Rebecca actually knows her stuff.

I`m surprised to see the praise here. The commentary was horrific in the Hull game. Their demands for crosses make Pulis at Stoke look like Tiki-Taka.

They are, it's based in Miami. I think they do the same as ESPN did with the CL back in the days. Tommy TwatSmyth would call matches from a studio at ESPN HQ. At least Fox and NBC got it right with actual feeds from England.

Ray Hudson is an annoying, Barca loving, Messi fanboi.

Hudson is insufferable. Everyone I know somehow seems to love him though. I end up having to watch Liga matches with Spanish commentary because his voice is too unbearable.

The best part of NBC this season has been mobile access and streaming/archived matches. I streamed the 2nd half of the Chelsea-Sunderland match when I needed to the other day on my phone. Then this week, I went home, logged into the website and watched the match against Hull in full HD at no extra cost (archived for 1 week). Had it not been blocked at work, I could have streamed it live on my PC. We also have every single PL match live on TV through various NBC affiliates. It shits on everything that came before it.

Also, with my sports TV package ($8.99/mth), I have live access to all the major matches from Champions League, Europa League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, MLS, South American leagues, Mexico, A-League, and others. It's funny how this is all available in a country that supposedly doesn't give a feck about the sport.

is this on xfinity or direct tv?

What provider offers that for nine bucks?
I have Time Warner Cable in New York and get their sports package. Includes BeIn, GolTV, NBCsn, Fox Soccer Plus, the Live Extra channels, Fox Sports 1 and 2 (and other networks - NFL Redzone, NFL network, Tennis Channel, etc). And then you have ESPN, the Spanish channels, etc that already show stuff. Honestly, this is the only reason I still have cable TV at all.

@Red Dreams http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/ check through the site, but I think XFinity and DirecTV support Live Extra.

Time Warner actually does not support it - one of the few - so I use my brother's login from Optimum. That's an easy workaround, just log in off someone you know who has a participating cable provider.

Waking up to Rebecca Lowe every Saturday and Sunday morning is indeed nice.

Leaps and bounds better than Fox Soccer. I don't mind the NBCSN commentator team of Arlo White and Dixon/La Seaux but I still prefer the actual English teams that you guys get over there in the UK.

misunderstood. Yes. I do have Live Extra.

Christ, DirecTV was charging like $30 for a sports pack that did not include beIN, which cost another $10 or so.

You don't need the sports pack for the Premier League games. NBC Sports and the Premier League add-on channels are part of the regular package. Also, FS1 and FS2 are part of the regular package as well. We dumped the Sports Package and all we are missing is La Liga.

You know how bad our season has been. Manchester United's match tomorrow will not be broadcast on NBC(Manchester City/West Ham), NBC Sports(Liverpool/Newcastle), USA(Spurs/Aston Villa), CNBC(Cardiff/Chelsea), MSNBC(Arsenal/Norwich) or even Bravo(Hull/Everton) but it will be on the SYFY network of all channels.

I cannot stand Wynalda the ABU twat... but the others on Fox are awful too.
What is his deal? Is he a closet scouse or something?
Towards the end of FSC they were finding some truly horrible people to be on their shows, especially fox soccer report

It's nice. They now have one that allows you to record 4 shows at once and even do a split screen picture in picture with 2 live shows (but we have the old one that can only record 2 shows at once).
I have the whole home DVR that allows me to record in one room and watch in any other room. We all try not to record the same shows so we have more options. Even if you miss a show you can watch it on demand also, It's brilliant.

Who's the co-commentator for our game?

He thinks the rules should be changed for challenges like the one Cork made. Give players a red instead.

The "What's happened to you?" after Mata's misplaced pass was hilarious.

I think they said it was Ray Houghton?
